This course is as good as it can get. Being a doctor was everything I ever yearned during my childhood and its a dream come true. The campus is throbbed with extracurricular activities throughout the year.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
Fees are very less, about rs3500 per semeter, and rs 1000 per paper you are taking exams in. Hostel is very affordable at the rate of rs 12 per month. Fooding is available at the hostel canteen for as little as rs 40 for one meal.
PLACEMENT WING
100% of our students are placed and are employed by the government of West Bengal itself The internship offers a stipend of 21000 which may increase to 34000 during house jobs All the students are required to complete their paid internship following which they shall receive their degrees.
ADMISSION
A country wise national entrance cum eligibility test is organised which comprises of questions based on physics, chemistry and biology. Ranks are assigned based on the score performed in the test. Then a merit list is prepared according to the same
HOSTEL FACILITIES
Each lecture theatre in our college is modern and aesthetically beautiful with facilities like air conditioning and projection facilities. Labs are clean and equipped with modern instruments The library is well stocked with a great air-conditioned reading room. Foods in the canteen are average Rooms are up to the mark in the hostels.
ALUMNI
Senior students are the best and very helpful. They show us the way and guide us in every aspect from studies to patient handling to life. Alumni network keep regular connection with us and provide valuable inputs wherever required.
FACULTY
The teachers are great. They invest heavily in our studies despite their busy schedules and do not miss any opportunity to teach us about any interesting case that has been admitted to the hospital. We as students are made ready to work in our respective fields in the hospitals.
CAMPUS LIFE
College has a common room filled with latest games like carrom and table tennis. There is a field where students can play cricket and football. There are dedication courts for badminton and volleyball. Competitions are organised intra college every year
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The course is 9 semester long. It is indeed a tough course but has its own reward to be able to save lives on a daily basis. There are 9 semester examination and 4 professional mbbs examination over 4.5 years
COLLEGE EVENTS
The college organises a cultural fest called "Chronaxie". The fresher's welcome is "Bienvenue". An annual day is observed when the college was established. Every festival viz independence day to holi to saraswati puja is organised.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
The college does not provide any scholarship as such but ours being a government institution obe can avail all the benefits and scholarships offered by the state government towards students from not so well to do families.
