Remarks
Overall college infrastructure is very good and comes with a legacy of over 70 years which have provided the students with very well established culture of hostel competition nowhere to be found. All of the sports infrastructure is available.
Course Curriculum Overview
All the exams are conducted on semester basis. Each semester is divided between tests, mid term and end sem examination. In most of the departments curriculum is revised almost every 2-3 year providing state of the art knowledge.
Placement Experience
Almost every student gets a placement. Some get pre placement offers on the basis of their internship. College does provide internship from 1 lakh salary to 1000. Placement are conducted by students only as they are the ones who calls companies to select students.
College Events
Spring fest and Kshitij are cultural and technical festivals of the college respectively organised by the students themselves in Spring semester. Almost each and every department has their own technical festivals.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure is expensive as it is 2.3 Lakhs per year. Each semester costs about 1.2 Lakhs which includes 90000 tuition fees and 25000 hostel fees and other Chagres. But loan facility is available at cheaper interest rates.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Most of the scholarships are based on family income criteria. Merit cum scholarship reimburses tution fees of 90, 000 tu students with family income less than 6, 00, 000. Many other scholarships are provided also.
Campus Life
There are societies for almost every fields from drama to robotics. Selections to most of the societies are done in 2nd year. There are competitons between 22 hostels which also provides field for technical, cultural and sports extra curricular activities.
Hostel Facilities
Most of the hostels are old with well established wifi and wlan structure. First years are provided with triple sharing rooms and after 2nd year some hostels provide single sharing rooms. All of the students need to go for hotels.
Alumni/Alumna
Senior junior interaction is based on extra curricular activities such as hostel completions, societies, departmental activities.Most of the placements are done by alumnis and they're also helpful in getting internships.
Admission
Admission into IIT is thourough JEE examination. first exam is jee mains after clearing it you can write jee advanced and thourough the rankings of jee advanced you're alloted seats in iit. All the 22 IITs have same ranking process and you don't need to apply separately.
Faculty
Faculty selection process is very difficult and only top notch candidates gets selected so we get all the knowledgeable and experienced staff. These processors are so dedicated that they start the subject from basic and take it to all the top level of that subject.

Because I always wanted to do engineering through govt college and this institute and appeared for wbjee and got a merit rank. Through counselling I got admission in this college and it is closest to my house rather than other engineering colleges. Being a new engineering college it is raising up it's reputation and education through its talented and experienced profeesors. So I got admitted in this college.
Placement Experience
As our college is new and this year graduated our first batch. There is few on campus placement. CEAT, TCS, WIPROO, etc companies visited. But thorough off campus placement many students got placed. The highest package of 10 lakh per annum availed by CSE department. About 50% students of all departments are placed. But need to improve placement facilities.

Alumnae of this college are spread across the world. This college provides excellent education along with industrial exposure with a very good placement percentage and also has a good scope for research, which specifically drove me to get admitted to this college. Apart from education, one will absolutely love the scenic beauty if this college.

Good placements, nice campus and faculty. It is near to my city and one of the best colleges in West Bengal. It has hostel facility. My branch is very good for Research work and placements. The college is situated in the heart of city and reaching there is easy.

I always wanted to get into an IIT/NIT. Since, I didn't score well enough to get into any IIT, I thought of going into an NIT. Also, this was the nearest NIT from my home, and my parents had asked me not to choose any college too far away. Moreover, NIT Durgapur has sufficiently good placement and other stats. All these factors made me choose this college.

Admission
Students interested for admissions in this college can fill the application form provided by the college. The admissions are based on entrance exam and the merit list. Based on the specialisations selected students are required to appear for entrance exam and then based on the merit list admissions are provided.
Placement Experience
The placements in our college is really great and very well coordinated. There is a separate team for monitoring placements known as training and placement cell. Every year they try their best to invite most of the top companies in our college for placement.
