    REMARKS

My college wasn't that good but I had fun because of the campus and the friends that I made. Management of the college was not really good.

  • ENTRANCE PREVIEW

I did mass media which is completely on the basis of marks scored in12th std. I scored 67% and I had heard the name of the college from quite a few freinds so applied for it.

  • FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES

Very feasible mass media is not that costly. My fees was something around 16k,17k & 18k in first second and third year respectively. Apart from it our expenses included of notes and IV.

    PLACEMENT WING

There was no placement from our college. Students themselves figure out where they want to place themselves. There are soo many different job options for media student, I think it's difficult to get a company to college. Students make connections in the industry on their own and get a job.

  • ALUMNI

Our seniors were really cool. We all mingled up really well and they helped us whenever required. Our experience with them was good. Overall it was fun.

  • 2 /10Ratings

    FACULTY

Some really had no knowledge but were appointed to teach us. Since the college is autonomous now I think it would be really bad now.

    CAMPUS LIFE

There were no extracurricular activities but the campus is amazing. One can spend the entire day chilling out there. It's the best thing of K J Somaiya.

  • EXAM STRUCTURE

It was very chilled out. We had just semester exams and sometimes just class tests which some subject teachers conducted. Our schedule was very relaxed because we didn't really have much to study. Mass media is all about the practice knowledge so there not much emphasis on theatrical.

    COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

It was good. It included everything that a mass media student is required to learn. It's difficult to remmeber all the subjects we had but some of them were History,Public relations, marketing, advertising,Psychology.

    INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES

There was no internship that was provided from the college. The students searched it themselves. Generally a PR intern is offered around 5k to 7k. It depends from company to company some firms don't order anything.

    COLLEGE EVENTS

Our BMM fest was Megahertz. It wasn't bug during out time but now it's gaining prominence. Apart from it no major events happened as such but there were seminars and workshops that were organised occasionally.

  • LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS

I did not avail for any loan since my free was not much. I think engineering college might provide such facility since their fees is tooo much.

As good as mumbai colleges

Placement -

The placements and job opportunities are vast as many college campuses come in the college 2-3 times in the college. Which also includes companies in Forbes 500. and yes we get many internships offers from the college regarding our field of work

Course Curriculum -

The course curriculum is according to Mumbai university. We have 6 semesters pattern!. And for internal assessment, we get projects as we r from bmm. Then we also get one small internal test for those who haven't scored in projects.

I did not appear for any kind of entrance examination, as I already knew that I want to enroll in this course.I already had this subject called "Mass Media" in my school so it was quite clear in my mind that I have to continue with this stream only. The only entrance exam I appeared for was of the St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and for that I guess I scored around 68-69% out of 100%.

Placement -

Mithibai has a placement cell but I don't have enough knowledge about it so I can not comment on this aspect. Though I think students passed out from Mithibai get good job opportunities with handsome packages.

curriculum activities are concentrated more than studies

Placement -

yes placement is conducted is last year of graduation but still there is like no assurity for that ...there was no fix oackage and all

Course Curriculum -

A college like reena mehta is more of activities like practicals rather than books .... it is more about presentations and lively hood environment and that is the reason a course like mass media comforts in that college ...

No entrance exam the course was not like a normal studying course it demanded a lot of project and practical work along with academics which was very nice as we didn't have to study all the time we were given a lot of time to do our project work and we had a lot of extracurricular activities as well they encourage us to participate in all these activities so that it helps us build self confidence. Our admission process was simple and based on our scores. We had to be in the cut off list sto get ...

I feel the college with so much positive aspect couldn't have survived if there wasn't proper management. We students are treated like children of own by our teachers. We are adored by them. I wont ever in my life forget my college.

Actually there wasn't any entrance test to get qualified. I got admission on the merits bases. I choose BMM ( mass media) to follow my passion for journalism. It gave a wider knowledge of the field.
