Though just 1 year programme, there's lot to learn in this duration. This course includes almost 9 different subjects to be completed within a span of one year, most of which is focused on research purposes.
The students can easily get placed one they have completed their degrees to one of the district or high courts. The students anyway have internship experience from their bachelors and hence its easy for them to get placed in a firm.
For a duration of 1 year, the fee is around INR 168000 and this is inclusive of all, even hostel charges. So, if you are not a hostel inmate, the amount may vary slightly. It is pretty expensive for a one year course.
The students are involved in many extracurricular activities such as sports, debates on various topics, dance & music, show their acting expertise in theater, eco club, photography club for budding photographers, etc.
Hostel accommodation facility is given to both men and women separately. Both hostels have all the facilities such as mess, TV room and other basic amenities are made available to make the stay more at home.
The minimum eligibility is to have a degree in LLB or an equivalent exam with an aggregate of 55%. Then, you'll have to clear common admission law test (CLAT) in order to finally qualify for the admission to this course.
The faculty is selected keeping in mind the requirement of students of an environment where they can get the best knowledge of their subject. Various guest faculties too visit the college from time to time in order give some extra knowledge.

I completed my LLM from Government Law College, Coimbatore. The whole course duration was quite informative for me and I got to learn alot. Teachers were also quite helpful and gave us good career guidance also. The fee is also quite low because of which I was able to pursue my LLM.
Our college in the year 2015-16 introduces LLM course.And we are the second batch in LLM course.For admission, in LLM, our college requires a valid LLB Degree with minimum 50% marks. 45% marks required for SC/ST and OBC.
