GOOD DENTAL COLLEGE IN CHENNAI
REMARKS
I completed my BDS from Thai Moogambigai Dental College, the experience was quite good and I loved my whole course duration here. The labs helped me work and understand the concepts practically and teachers guided me to become better in studies and learn better.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The fee structure for the college is quite expensive and is around Rs. 5 lakh charged per year for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). The total fee for the entire course duration is Rs. 25 lakhs, one can also apply for state and different types of scholarships to get relief in the fee.
PLACEMENT WING
The college provides internship opportunities to all the students are the four-year course. The internship is integrated into the course, so most of the students are placed at good companies for their internships after which students can individually decide their choice of job.
ADMISSION
The college takes admission through NEET, only those who have cleared NEET are eligible to carry on their studies here. One can apply for this college via counselling and afterwards carry on his admission process at college itself. That's how I took admission here for my BDS.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
The college has a hostel for both boys and girls which has separate mess for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods, the food serves in mess is healthy and good. The charges for Non-AC hostel room is Rs. 63,000 charged per year and for AC rooms Rs.81,000 charged per year.
FACULTY
The faculty of the college is a team of skilled dental surgeons, which are also quite good at teaching having years of experience in both fields. We were quite lucky to study under them and gain a good amount of experience in our college life.
CAMPUS LIFE
The college also holds extracurricular activities to support creativity and groom the overall personality of students. The college has well equipped libraries with a wide variety of books apart books prescribed in the course curriculum. The labs are also well maintained and hygienic, to help students operate and study well practically.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The course curriculum is quite good and is drafted by Dr M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute, Chennai providing the college with affiliation also. The college is its constituent unit. All the important subjects and topics are covered in the course as well.
