Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum and exam structure is good. There are regular assignments throughout the year which are pre-planned and the dates are mentioned in the year calendar. The marks are a combination of your performance in these assignments and presentations combined with your mid semester and end semester scores.

Placement Experience :

Wipro, Harita TVS, Hexawera, Amazon, Flipkart and many other companies visited the college campus for recruitment. Most of the students get selected through the campus interview because the college starts the placement training in the second year itself.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The expense structure of the college l is very reasonable and practical, I feel. It's prudent. The charges are Rs 60,000 for each annum which makes it to Rs 240,000 on an aggregate for a time of four years which isn't over the top expensive.

Campus Life :

Campus life is cool and you can enjoy various activities in college premises like tennis cricket. GYM facility is also available for all the students inside the campus. Lab and library are very huge and you will get all you want to read.

Hostel Facilities :

Mahendra Institute of Technology has well-furnished hostels with facilities like purified drinking water, hot water, cold water, 24-hour power backup, common reading room, dining hall and requisite medical facilities. Facilities for communication, entertainment, and indoor games such chess, carom and modern gym are also provided to each hostel separately.

Admission :

The admission into the college is done through the TNEA entrance exam. Every year MIT admissions are conducted for the students on the basis of cut off declared by Mahendra Institute of Technology on the basis of the entrance exam results.

Faculty :

The faculty is well educated and experienced with complete knowledge of their subjects. They are an important pillars of the college and a support system for the students helping them improve with their knowledge regarding the field.

Placement Experience :

I just got admission to IIT Madras. That's why I don't much about placements. I am a fresher. But as per I got to know from senior and professors. Last year's highest package was 133 crore offered by Microsoft for the post of Software Engineer. Microsoft, Google, Facebook were the top paying companies in the placements. Their requirement was for a software engineer. The average package for a computer science student is 40 lakhs. But it changes for another branch like for mechanical last year highest package was 54 lakh. The overall package percentage was 70 percent last year for UG /PG students.

Placement Experience :

From the sixth semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placements. The placement scenario of my college is in a good position as compared to the other colleges. Nearly 80-90% got placed but packages vary. The highest packages offered were around 41lacs. The average packages varied between 3.5 - 4.5lacs. Top recruiting companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and then mass recruiters like Infosys. Sometimes companies like cognizant and Accenture offers good packages.

Remarks :

This college is as good as it can get given the current situation. It has achieved a lot and given its annual operation cost itself is 4. 06Cr, it is understandable that the equipment present eats most of its funds.
