RIMS RANCHI is a very good medical college for all those who want to become good doctors in future.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Good education is provided here. Full development of a student as a medical professional. Three terminals are conducted in the college and the final University exam is conducted by Ranchi University. Total duration of MBBS course is 5.5 years.4.5 years study and 1 year of internship.
Placement Experience :
Total duration of MBBS course is 5.5years. 4.5 years of study and 1 year of internship. There are no campus placements in our college. After MBBS we have to qualify NEET PG exams for admission into PG colleges for the specialised courses.
College Events :
Sports fest-Palaestra Cultural fest-Palash Fresher's party Dandiya nights Sarhul,Karma and christmas celebrations. I take part in all the functions. All the students from first to internship even the postgraduates participate in all the events and functions with full zeal.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The examination fee is taken in our college for our University examination only which is feasible as we have to give it once in a year at the end of our session. Only cash mode is accepted in our college. We also give hostel fees once in a year which is also my cash mode.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The scholarship is provided only to the low income families that too my the state goverenment of Jharkhand and not by the college itself. I did not get any scholarhip here.
Campus Life :
The campus life is just awesome. Students are very friendly.we study as well as party here. All the students are treated equally here. There is no sex descrimination, no religion or race descrimination. Each and every one can participate in each and every college function.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes the hostels are fine here. 1st year we get four bedded rooms. Second year we get double bedded or single rooms as wanted by us and in the third year and fourth year we get single rooms. And in PG also we get a single bedded room.
Alumni/Alumna :
The seniors in my college are very nice and helpful. They help us a lot throughout our course. They help us alot in our studies.
Admission :
NEET UG Entrance Exam I wanted to become a doctor so i opted for this and got admission in RIMS,Ranchi. First i cleared the NEET UG entrance examination. I got 13th category rank in my state and i got RIMS ranchi the best medical college in my state.
Faculty :
Total of 4 lectures are conducted in a day and 1 practical and 1 tutorial class. Total strength of the class is 150. The teachers of RIMS,Ranchi are excellent. They teach us very well. They help us to understand each and every topic very nicely.The teachers here are trained medical professionals.

Placement Experience :
Placement is mediocre. More students prefer to carry out higher studies although they could also apply for state government jobs. MBBS is much more about gaining skills than having a job. Any general physician could easily earn 2-3 lakh per month after having 5-10 yrs of experience.
Remarks :
Premier government medical college of Jharkhand. Situated in the capital city. Academically one of the best lot of professors. Patient load is quite high thus ensures great experience in developing clinical skills.

The college is management is way better than other government institution since it is an autonomous body. So all our requests and requirements are fulfilled sooner or later.

It is very good. But you have to work hard to reach here. you will get a good access to everything. To patients to equipment everything. In second year only i have seen many operations. The environment is light with a lot of enjoyment.

I am proud being a part of my college. but it needs some more infrastructure & some more faflcilities to come into a big bash. we require a college ground for sports& we also need some extra curricular activies to upgrade ourselves

Its top class. Off course you should join. With such nominal rate you will never get a good medical college like this. There are people outside who ruin the reputation by there bad sayings. But being a student i can say its much better than any college in eastern india
Admission :
You have to crack NEET UG held every year in may.The admission is given on the basis of AIR all india rank merit list. 15% seat is all india quota and 85% seats are reserved for candidates from the state Jharkhand.
Placement Experience :
Every student get internship for sure.The stipend for inters is about 15 to 16 thousands. Each student who completed the course is able to make at least 1 lac rs per month as a junior resident and practicing in private.
