College can be better managed. Power is too concentrated on one person
Course Curriculum & Exam Structure is alright. The problem I felt is since the college is deemed university, teachers have too much power and hence teaching and exam quality suffers. Also experienced staff was very less. A reputed college should have the best teachers
Placements were not great for our batch and the batch after us. The main problem I saw is that our placements start on December which is very late. Most colleges start on September-October
We have technical and cultural events that gets conducted on alternate years. So in 2 years, we can attend both the events once. The whole event, from getting sponsors, and organizing activities are done by students alone. Students from all the best colleges in Bangalore and some from outside Karnataka also attend this.
Fee is a little high I feel. Overall, 11 lacs is too much with the sub-standard infrastructure they provide. They were accepting cheques for fees. Fee includes hostel and food which you can't opt out, International travel fee(totally worth it) and Tuition fees.
I studied on education loan. You get fee structure from college. Submit it along with admission letter and pledging documents in Bank. But I advise not to take loan
Campus life is average, gender ratio is almost equal and diversity is very uch there as students from almost all parts of the country are there. There are very few extracurricular and sports competitions happening as support from management is very less.
Yes. Hostel and food you can't opt out. Food was very bad for me and I was always eating out. Rooms are good with balcony and french windows but 3 guys in a room is conjested. Also the room rent is a little high.
They are very much helpful. They know the pain of placements and so are very helpful in getting internships and job offers for the students
I got through XAT test. There was Group Discussion and Personal Interview. They verified my documents and gave me a call 1 week later. The minimum cutoff is 70% for CAT/XAT/CMAT. I opted for MBA as I wanted a fresh start after B-Tech. You should also think about it. MBA can also make you over-qualified for a lot of jobs too.
The problem I felt is since the college is deemed university, teachers have too much power and hence teaching and exam quality suffers. Also experienced staff was very less. A reputed college should have the best teachers. On that aspect, this college lags a little.
Third years have been given the promise of placement. We have a placement cell and placement officers who prepare opportunities for us and guide us through the interview. My seniors have been placed in Infosys and Wipro. The package from Infosys is 20k per month. I plan to face interviews but will prefer getting a pg first.
This is only University in India to provide this combination Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Genetics. I got recommendation from an alumni of this college that it has best staff and everyone in college is helpful.
There used to be job fares but I got my job through our faculty's assistance in Biotechnology company.
Because it's my passion to become a doctor. so i joined in this university. and all my seniors suggested me to join because they provide good quality education. throught practice and explaining very clearly.
Very good lot of companies vist every year. the placement opportunities are very good. senior student explained very clearly about this.
