Mile as a business school stands upright on all the parameters that a young prospective management student looks at. Every day is a new learning and the prime focus is on practical than on text cramming. Both the internal and external faculty members are very humble, helpful, interactive and engaging. Every class increases the level of understanding. The admission process has well structured a team of professionals from the placement and admissions department cane to my city organized an open interview that was a day-long process is comprised of essay writing, case study, group discussion and the final round that was a personal interview. I preferred this institution over the others because of a positive vibe that I got after interacting with the team and the moderate environment that it provided where they endorsed, the institute that was organized managed and handled by students themselves from sports to mess to organizing events. I went through shikhsa.com while I took final decision.
PGDM was always considered as a window that I wanted to look through before I ventured into the corporate sector. Mile gave me the platform to do the same with different dynamic situations ahead of me every day. Intake of Mile was about 160 students divided into 3 sections during the first tri and eventually, the sections from 2nd tri were made on the basis of the specialization. There are both in-house and guest faculties in Mile who also teach in various other reputed management institutes. Most of the facilities were designated Dr. as many of them were usually PHD while the others were not less than post-graduation. All of them had either some corporate experience or were into teaching management students since the past few years.
Plenty of opportunities are brought by the placements team. Not only placements but also internships are given to each student so that they get an industry experience before starting their careers as professionals.
Personality Development classes communication classes and activities to improve the same and corporate sessions on a regular basis and mock interviews and group discussions were held to help us to get to know the companies seeking to hire young talent.
The fee for PGDM in Mile was 7.5 to 8 lakhs including hostel and Mess for a year. It was to be paid in two instalments each in a year. The college always rendered its support to the students who were seeking student or education loan. As far as scholarships are concerned nothing of this sort was known to me.
Life at Mile reminds me of the best days that I had lived. As we had classes at times late the evening or sone corporate sessions or some preparations were always going on for events like Holi, Lohri, Ganesh Chaturthi, Friendship's day so we made a lot of fun-filled memories together. We became family away from family to each other. All of us were from different states and cities but what united us was the reason for us being there together and what made us one was our induction. Induction at Mile is one in a Lifetime experience those 21 nights we merely slept but yet new dreams made our eyes their couch. There are several committees at Mile and a students council. I feel pride in being selected as the President of my batch 2019-21 along with this I also worked as the head of the corporate interface committee.
Our hostel was one of its kind we stayed in apartments managed by our college. About 5 to 6 of stays in each apartment of 2 BHK and a balcony.
The process of admission was both lengthy and examining. It was a day-long process for me. I 4 had rounds. First, we had to write a 500-word essay within 30 minutes, then a case study in 20 minutes, followed by a group discussion of 1 hr. and then a personal interview. For me, it was a 1-hour long interview. The results were told to us in a week's time via a call and an official mail.
I chose MBA as was prior interested in it. The students' faculty was very good and they provided all the information to the students as accordingly. Due to covid, all the lectures were held online only. Exams were also held online as an MCQs test held by savitribai Pune university
Sinhgad was one of the best colleges of my time. In 2018 Sinhgad was awarded for the most number of placements. I chose this college due to its reputation and placement records. If you really want to study and get knowledge, then Sinhgad is the right place. The teaching staff is really good, and they are very helpful. The admission process is fully based on the merit list of MH CET. The eligible ones can directly visit College Office for admission. One of the most important points for preferring this college over other colleges is the regular lectures. The college is very strict about attendance and regular lectures.
After semester third the students become eligible for placements. The highest domestic package is 18 lakhs and the highest international package is 54 lakhs. The institute says 100% placement to students. The plans after getting the degree are to be a better entrepreneur
The placements of the college are very good as the ROI is a concern. The average package provided for the students is 7 LPA. The average stipend provided is 15k. The college is well known for its flagship program of Marketing & Finance.
I applied to the college with my MAT scores and received a call or the next round. They conducted a basic written ability test, followed by an Interview round. I was nervous before the interview round, but it went pretty well. Overall the admission process was pretty straight-forward and the entire management was pretty supportive. I opted for this college because I wanted to join my family business and the competition was pretty nominal for this college.
Placements were also pretty great and had some of the top-most companies from all over the country paying a visit during the recruitment session. Some of these big names include Amazon, Think & Learn, Zycus, ITS, Aditya Birla, etc. The highest package secured by a student during on-campus placements was 13 LPA, while the average package was 4 LPA during my batch.
I don't have any bad remarks but yes, if I had an opportunity to be a part of it in any way, I would not stay behind. You never know the kind of learning, fun, exposure you gain, with that. I learn till now, and will continue to learn something or the other, till I can. My extrovert and open nature, my outspoken personality (though little) has come only during those 2 years. Before that I was very reserved, calm and bookworm.
There is nothing bad about this college. As I mentioned above everyone was very helpful and cooperative in nature, right from my seniors to faculty members and support staff of the college. Even our Dean and director was a highly qualified person however they always behaved in friendly manner and always helped students if they have any issues right from personal problems to economical issues. Overall this college is simply great in it's own league.
They have their own exam but CAT is acceptable well, I think that attracted me to this college was the placement assistance, which gave a positive vibe, though I did not opt for placement through them, as I was already well placed in my field of work.
I did not attend the internship as I was already working at the time when i joined the MBA course here but there is 100% jobs assistance for the people who are not working.
