This college had automotive engineering course. Huge campus, good hostel facility and discipline in the college along with infrastructure were the point at the time of taking admission, this was only strengthened by very good teachers and administration.
Teachers I bless with were really good. Because of them, I developed interest in automotive topics. In terms of the exam, college is very strict. To clear internal orals also it was not easy. Labs and the library are very good. During exam time library and classrooms were open almost 24x7 with tea available overnight. One can grab books and go to classrooms even in night to study. I had most of the time spent in the library reading room. There used to be water dispensers and power available all round the time. The overall environment for the students is very good. It’s up to the students to make use of it.
There are very good campus placements, there are also some tie-ups for training the students to appear for interviews, TPO is very dynamic and play a vital role for the latest update you can visit on the college site.
At my time, I had admission as a merit student and had govt scholarship. For long 4 years, there was no much change in fees. Current status needs to be checked.
The library has a lot of many books, journals, periodicals, E-library, reading rooms, computers for reading, etc. Also, each department has a specific department library with specified books. Class rooms are well ventilated, raised Dias classrooms The college had sports competitions and there are AESA, MESA etc formed by each department students, who conduct regular programs on social benefits and awareness as well as paper presentations etc. Events such as quiz, competition are regular.
The details are from the year 1997. Hostel had rooms with sharing accommodation between 3 people. Had cot, light fan tables chair and cupboard for each. I had a very good lawn at the Center and mess on the same campus.
Students become eligible for the placement from the 7th semester. Since IIIT Pune is a new college so very few companies come here but some of them are dream companies of students. Companies : Microsoft, Nutanix, Jio, Rakuten, Gojek, Persistent etc. The highest package is 42 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. Job offers were mainly related to software developer engineer.
Students from the 7th Semester are eligible for On-Campus placements. A few of the companies that have visited SFIT for placements are Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, TCS, Byjus, etc. The highest package offered as of 2021 is 15 lpa and the average is 3.5 lpa. I plan to work as a Data Analyst after completing my degree.
The placement is very good. The average placement is around 6 LPA and for the computer's branch, it is around 9 lpa. Students get placed at top-notch companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc. More than 90% of students get placed each year. The highest Package offered is around 40lpa(domestic package). I want to get placed in a good company after getting the degree.
Students are eligible in 4th year for placement companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Gsoc, Goldman Sachs etc. Come for the placement drive with great packages Alumni networking is great is our college, you just need to take help of your seniors. They generally offered a package between 3-5 lakhs. But some get 8-9 lakhs even few got 12lakhs also. Recently 36 lakhs package is offered to go one of my seniors. Average package is 5-6 lakhs, I think which is enough for a good start. Almost 85% placed form all branches. But in CSE, CE, CSBS & in IT placement is more than other branches. I have planned a master degree after this bachelor degree and wants to start My own startup.
Placement wise it's a good college. AVG package is around 4 to 5 lacks. But it depends upon which branch you are referring to. Computer and IT branch avg package may go up to 4 to 5. Companies do come for placements but getting placed in your core company with a good package is the real challenge. Else you will be placed with the minimal package and at a place where you will have no interest. If you have sound skills in coding and have a few achievements marked on your resume, I believe you can get a handsome package. Coming back to the mass recruits, they also play a major role in placements same as in other colleges. Concluding I would say if you score a good CGPA in your exams you will certainly get placed. Companies visited are as a follows:-BSA corporation, Jindal soft seating ltd, SGS technology, Videocon,d\Digvi Warner, capstone security (2 times), IBM India (2 times), Suzlon LTD, etc.
Good reputation for placements. All girls college, hence less competition during entrance. Doctorate and experienced faculty. Affordable fee structure. Convenient geographic location in the central area of Pune.
Microsoft offered the highest package last year worth Rs. 43 LPA. The training and placement cell is very active and so is the alumni network.
When you will go to the final year then you will be eligible for the campus interview. companies like TCS, SLK, byjuce, tech Mahindra. Only IT companies come for campus placements. Need to get more campus placements for other branches too. The percentage of students getting a placement is very poor.
So many industries visit our college including Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Vodaphone, tata and they offer amazing placements as this is girls college they offer so much. So many opportunities they provide from programming to workshops like zenith and Baja.
I appeared in MHT-CET and got average marks. Then i took admission in this college as it is good for students like me.
Placement is not provided to any students. Even toppers also dont get any job guarantee by the college. Students need to search for the job by their own and on self risk.
