Admission to me in this course was given based on my interview as well as the marks I scored in my bachelor's. I applied through online form and was called for interview and they took my interview and asked me about the interest to study the course, my academic records, etc. You must have English language certificate either IELTS- 6.5 and above, TOEFL-79 and above. Bachelor degree must be equivalent to Australian standards of UG degree. I chose this institute since it has good records of placement and teaching, has international exposure, degree which will have acceptance in more countries and companies.
We have good faculty from diverse backgrounds with experience in teaching and being themselves in the industry. They are good teachers to teach. They hold international exposure as well. They come from having experience from industry giants. Faculties are much educated and good at teaching the course. They help us understanding the concept well and how to use as well as guide to attain future opportunities which we have.
More than 80% of students get placed. The placement is inclined towards the marketing domain. There is a placecom committee, consist of students and faculty. They invite the different companies to the campus. Highlights in terms of company are TCS, Reliance, ICICI, HDFC, Torrent power etc. Average placement of the college is 5.75 LPA. For marketing it is 6 LPA. For HR, average is 4 LPA.
The college placements are certainly a drawback. Although some students have secured top packages with the highest at 52.8 lakhs, in 2020, in some of the top companies in India, the average stood at 13.9 lakhs which is really less compared to the B-Schools in its league. The low placements can be attributed to the high number of low-paying agencies hiring from the college. However, most top brands of the country open their competitions to MICA, which becomes a decent way for its students to achieve good placements. Overall the college always receives 100% placements, barring a few students who opt out of the process. This is true for both summer and final placements. The number of PPO and PPI holders at MICA also stood at 25% which is a very encouraging number.
From 1st to 3rd semester students sit for Internships and 4th to 6th for final placements. There are around 120 companies for Final Placements and same for Internships. Some of the companies were Infosys, Jio Saavn, Big Basket, Amul, Crisil, Ford. Major offers are offered between 8.5 lacs to 9.5 lacs. Highest package 16 lacs. 100 % placements. I would take placement and do the job after the degree.
Placements are pretty decent as compared to the fees charged by the college. The average package being 4.5 LPA and the highest offered this year being 10LPA. The students are placed based on their potential and previous work experience.
The institute has a dedicated placement committee that assists students in getting placed for the summer internship as well as for final placement. The institute, because of a good reputation, attracts companies from diverse fields to come and recruit graduates from the campus itself. Companies start visiting the campus in October and the whole process of placement winds up in March. The institute has succeeded almost all of the time to place 100% of students. The average package offered is around 8.5LPA, the highest package for the year 2019-2021 was around 16 LPA.
The placement scenario is also great here. Most of the people are getting placed in Marketing specialization. The average package is around 5-6 LPA. Companies like HDFC ICICI TCS visit for College placement. Overall most of the students are getting placed here
A positive remark is that every event party everything is organized by the college for the students it will help us to refresh our mind and going forward. The negative remark is that the college has to improve its infrastructure.
