Course curriculum is very-much relevant and research-oriented, however it lacks to impart industry-specific knowledge. However, most of the students learn the relevant skills required through internships, or some online courses o such. Industrial visits are not frequent in our branch, however it is common in some of the other branches.
Barclays, Goldman Sachs, D.E. Shaw, Nutanix are some of the biggest companies which visits the campus regularly for internships and placement drives. The tentative percentage of students placed is around 80%. There is a Professional Development Council, run by the students, and Career Development Services, run by the institution, which work together for the cause.
There are two Technical Events, Amalthea (Technical Summit) and Ignite(Technical Fest organized every year) which have about 1000-2000 participants and visitors. The cultural event Blithchron has about 3000-5000 visitors. While the intra-college and iter college sports fest have also great participation.

Gender ratio is a very big problem in engineering field. We have a gender ratio of 12:1 in our batch. As there are people coming over from all parts of India, diversity is not an issue in our campus. Workshops regarding communication skills, technical skills are very frequently organized. Student parties are also organized about twice a year.
Yes, the hostel rooms are very good as it is a comparatively new institution. There is adequate space in each room, which is generally hard to find in hostels. The sharing is dependent on the year in which you are, and also your personal preferences to some extent.
Alumni network is not as large compared to other colleges, however the alumni are very nice. They have helped a lot of people with their internships, and also helped making a good profile for higher studies. They have been a lot more helpful than someone would have expected.
IITs have the simplest procedure for admission. Lakhs of students appear for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE), and out of that, about 10,000 are selected for all the IITs, out of which I got 1561 rank, and I got the admission over here, at Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. Once, the merit list comes out, we all have to give preference of college and branch, and by the merit list, the preferences are served.
On an average, there are about 3 lectures of each course every week, and we have generally around 6-7 courses every semester. Average age of our faculty would be around 35 years, and there is a minimum qualification requirement for every faculty which is a doctorate. Most of the faulty are research-oriented, but there are few faculties which are highly involved in industry.
Placements are very good at Nirma. After the 7th semester student becomes eligible for placements. In mechanical engineering around 85% of the last year, students were placed. Companies such as Mahindra, Maruti L&T and Tata visit the campus every year and offer good packages. Of all the branches the IT branch receives the highest packages. In mechanical, last year the highest package that was offered was around 14 lacs. The average package was around 4 to 5 lacs. Students who were associated with technical clubs received good offers. As a mechanical engineer, various job profile such as assistant engineer, maintenance in charge, performance manager and design engineer is offered generally. Many students go for post graduation or MBA degrees from well known national and international universities. Currently, I am preparing for my CAT examination and will try to get into one of the IIM's of India. The highest package was around 14.4 lacs and the average was about 4.5-5 lacs. Almost 85% got the job last year. The placement cell very actively helps the students with their placement.
From the 7th semester, you become eligible for campus placements and at least you scored the 7 CPI. In the college, the companies are visited is local and good reputed in Gujarat. The highest package is almost 10 LPA and the average package is likely 4 LPA and offered job as a manager, sales executive, relational manager. Almost 70 to 80% of the student get their placement and job in the company. My plans are the after graduation, If I got a chance in data science then definitely I try my best for this and the second option is in ISRO as a junior researcher.
The factors which is made me to choose this college firstly its near to my home and easy to reach and the faculties are experienced area of this college is very big and all the basic requirements are available here for the students

Many of my friends have took admission in the same college. The college has good no. of students enrolling every year. The college fees is not so high as compare to other B.Sc colleges. It is near to my town also.
I completed my B.Sc Mathematics from Gokul Global University, I had quite a good experience here either academics or co-curricular. I made quite good friends from here and enjoyed my whole course duration and also learnt a lot and matured in the process.
