The only thing which the institute lacks is campus area. But still every other thing outshines this lacuna. Classrooms are spacious with two sections of every batch. The updated library of the institute is much helpful for students during their exams and research projects. The institute is well connected with public transport system, so is quite accessible.
University provides a five year comprehensive syllabus well in advance for BA. LLB course. Semester exams are held in May and December every year. However, internal exams too are conducted by respective institutes. The curriculum is research driven and quite fair. After the end of semesters, students are required to undergo internships in the field of their respective interests. Students are encouraged to have regular court visits and be updated.

Seniors feel like batchmates in this institution. Everyone knows everyone here. Juniors never feel reluctant to have a chat with their seniors and latter too are quite helpful in solving issues, if any.
Earlier there was Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. After the results were declared, online counseling was held and institutes were allotted to students according to their ranks. However, now admission process has changed. No CET is conducted by University and admissions to affiliated colleges is by way CLAT examination.
Best faculty any institution can have. Well qualified and dedicated faculty adores the institution. Principal, Vice principal, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, all are committed to student's all round development and help them achieve all success in life. Each and every faculty is thorough with their subjects and elaborately explain the concepts. The number of lectures are fixed by University and is clearly mentioned in syllabus. However, faculty thrives to help their students by having extra classes and doubts classes.
We are provided with various other amazing facilities. Our campus is totally ragging free campus. All the classrooms are air conditioned and the teaching process is done with modern techniques. We get 24 hours free Internet and a central library with daily magazines, newspapers ,journals and many more.
It is close to my home. The main campus is the best the University has to offer. The fees are reasonable due to it being a State run University. And the fact that I didn't do particularly well in CLAT or AILET.
One thing that is common to almost all the public educational institutions is that they have good faculty members and bad administration. It is somewhat similar for the faculty of law. The teachers are more than great but when it comes to the administration it may be a little troublesome. Generally the problem arises in the delay in getting ID cards, case materials, library cards, examination forms, admit cards and so on. But this isn't much of a trouble since there are helpful seniors who are always there to help you. Also, the people in administration are also not so rude and are pretty student friendly. My overall impression of this college being myself a first year student is much more better than I expected it to be. The faculty has great facilities especially in the new building called the Umang Bhawan (for Law Center 1 and 2). It has elevators, spacious classrooms, a seperate moot court hall, parking facility, canteen, and a huge open space in the backside.
I had to write the AILET examination for getting admissions into this college, I scored well in both the exam and my boards, I was shortlisted based on those two marks and was called for admission process. I applied online for the course after my results came.
We are supposed to be interning with a law firm, a judge, or any government/non-government organization before the recruitment to know and experience what a workplace feels like. There are a lot of organizations that come here for recruiting, government organizations like UNDP, UNICEF and some well-known organizations like Kotak, Indian Oil, ICC come here during the campus drive. Most of the students are recruited.
AILET (All Indian Law Entrance Exam) is the mandatory and the only requirement to get into NLU. I got a good score out of 150 marks and hence I go the admissions in the first round itself. You can either apply online or in person.
This course needs exposure as much as possible hence the college make sure that we attend internships to gain an experience of a workplace before being recruited, Our seniors have worked under judges, NGOs, law firms, etc. Some of the companies that recruit from here are Singh and Singh advocates, Lexport, Reliance, Indian Oil, Kotak. Except those who feel like doing their masters in law, which is a lot, rest of the others get recruited.
Overall positive remarks from my side. It ain't no NLU, but for what it is it provides exceptional quality of education, with nice infrastructure, good crowd and helpful faculty. I am content in what the college is providing in terms of quality.
