As it goes for every candidate right after giving any entrance exam is that he/she wants to get enrolled into the topmost institutes available. When it was my turn I looked for an autonomous college because I personally think that autonomy brings independent decisions to the administration and also for the students which helps in the long term. Through JSPM's RSCOE is a very new college to the list yet it proved the strength. The college is established not very long back but dates somewhere in the year 2001. The reason I chose this college over others is that it was the first college in the region to bring out the CSBS pattern where the students and the faculty can actually lookup for their own subjects backed up with the framework by TCS.
The course curriculum is framed by TCS which is an industry-based curriculum. The best part is that there is a track record of everything that we do as a part of academics and co-curricular activities. Also, we are a bit ahead of the traditional curriculum which is followed in other colleges, may it be with respect to the programming languages or the subjects for that matter. It is notable that right from the second semester itself we had the project-based learning(PBL) as a crucial subject in the curriculum. We are always made to work in an inter-disciplinary format where we are encouraged to work out of our domain. Speaking about the faculty, all the faculty members are up to the level for teaching the subject prescribed. The faculty comprises of senior faculty with 20 years of experience to many new faculty with a year or two of experience. The best part is that the faculty is made to learn new things and are made to enrol to courses available.
The college aims to 100% placements with an average package of over 3.5lacs/annum. The students are eligible for the placement by third-year second semester and so on. The highest packages range from 18-24 lacs/annum for a fresher. The training and placement cell is proactive and has worked towards bringing good placement opportunities for the students. Last year packages ranging from 18-24 lacs were offered by Japanese companies and by many other companies.
Being a private college the fee can go as high as Rs.1,15,000 if you are selected on the merit basis and up to Rs.8,00,000 if you enrol through the management quota. The fees differ for each and every candidate according to his/her category. Though there are many scholarships available, by the government. The placement is great with over 18-24 lacs package offered by Japanese companies the last year and the average package ranges to over 3.5 lacs/annum. The training and placement cell is working really hard to bring great offers for the students and have proved it.
Well, the college infrastructure is ok with regards to the academics with fully resourced and certified labs. But the overall college infrastructure is a little dull when it comes to its construction. The college seems to be compacted with its buildings making it look like a queue of buildings. The classrooms are well furnished with smart boards in many of them. A notable point is that there is a lecture capture facility which helps the students to get with their lost lectures if they are absent. There is a central library comprising of many books and journals with department libraries facilitated with the books related to the course. Above all, there are many clubs, technical and non-technical formed by the students for the students. There is a tech-fest named "Innovision" with many competitions and prizes. Also, the college has its own college website Moodle with the course details and the assignments and announcements.
Students become eligible for the placement from the 7th semester. Since IIIT Pune is a new college so very few companies come here but some of them are dream companies of students. Companies : Microsoft, Nutanix, Jio, Rakuten, Gojek, Persistent etc. The highest package is 42 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA. Job offers were mainly related to software developer engineer.
Students from the 7th Semester are eligible for On-Campus placements. A few of the companies that have visited SFIT for placements are Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, TCS, Byjus, etc. The highest package offered as of 2021 is 15 lpa and the average is 3.5 lpa. I plan to work as a Data Analyst after completing my degree.
The placement is very good. The average placement is around 6 LPA and for the computer's branch, it is around 9 lpa. Students get placed at top-notch companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, etc. More than 90% of students get placed each year. The highest Package offered is around 40lpa(domestic package). I want to get placed in a good company after getting the degree.
Students are eligible in 4th year for placement companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Gsoc, Goldman Sachs etc. Come for the placement drive with great packages Alumni networking is great is our college, you just need to take help of your seniors. They generally offered a package between 3-5 lakhs. But some get 8-9 lakhs even few got 12lakhs also. Recently 36 lakhs package is offered to go one of my seniors. Average package is 5-6 lakhs, I think which is enough for a good start. Almost 85% placed form all branches. But in CSE, CE, CSBS & in IT placement is more than other branches. I have planned a master degree after this bachelor degree and wants to start My own startup.
Placement wise it's a good college. AVG package is around 4 to 5 lacks. But it depends upon which branch you are referring to. Computer and IT branch avg package may go up to 4 to 5. Companies do come for placements but getting placed in your core company with a good package is the real challenge. Else you will be placed with the minimal package and at a place where you will have no interest. If you have sound skills in coding and have a few achievements marked on your resume, I believe you can get a handsome package. Coming back to the mass recruits, they also play a major role in placements same as in other colleges. Concluding I would say if you score a good CGPA in your exams you will certainly get placed. Companies visited are as a follows:-BSA corporation, Jindal soft seating ltd, SGS technology, Videocon,d\Digvi Warner, capstone security (2 times), IBM India (2 times), Suzlon LTD, etc.
Good reputation for placements. All girls college, hence less competition during entrance. Doctorate and experienced faculty. Affordable fee structure. Convenient geographic location in the central area of Pune.
Microsoft offered the highest package last year worth Rs. 43 LPA. The training and placement cell is very active and so is the alumni network.
When you will go to the final year then you will be eligible for the campus interview. companies like TCS, SLK, byjuce, tech Mahindra. Only IT companies come for campus placements. Need to get more campus placements for other branches too. The percentage of students getting a placement is very poor.
So many industries visit our college including Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Vodaphone, tata and they offer amazing placements as this is girls college they offer so much. So many opportunities they provide from programming to workshops like zenith and Baja.
I appeared in MHT-CET and got average marks. Then i took admission in this college as it is good for students like me.
Placement is not provided to any students. Even toppers also dont get any job guarantee by the college. Students need to search for the job by their own and on self risk.
