I took CAT entrance exam and scored 98.1 percentile. I was shortlisted in IIM's and other top 10 B-Schools. But I wanted to pursue management course in industrial field. So i chose NITIE for PGDIM course.
The course curriculum is aligned with today's business requirement which enhances all the desired skills and gives complete understanding of business.
The internship is yet to experience as it will be in month of Apr-May. I have been selected for summers in Marico for IT profile at stipend of INR75K. The general stipend offered is more than INR50K.
The placement record in NITIE is absolutely great with students selected for many profiles such as consultancy, IT, Finance, Supply-Chain, Operations, Marketing at extremely good packages for both freshers and experienced students. The avg pkg for batch 2014-16 in PGDIM course is INR 17.1 Lac.
There are lot of events being celebrated in NITIE. AVARTAN: standing on pillars of 4 committees- Prerna, Arohan, Josh, Lakshay. It is the industry interaction program.
The fee structure is quite feasible and better than other B-Schools. The fees is less than INR 8 Lakh for 2 year program. It makes ROI extremely good when placed finally after post graduation.
I am not aware of any scholarship or loan facility offered by the college. As the fee structure of college is quite feasible i was able to manage from my savings .
The campus life is amazing. All the students assemble together late night for various activities and competitions where lot of Case studies are being discussed. Sports facilities are also great in campus.
The hostel facility is really awesome. The campus is called GOD's own campus as it is blessed with natural beauty and NITI Pond inside campus. Campus has 5 hostel including Taylor Hall with 16th floor building. Mess food is really hygienic and tasty.
The alumni network is really strong in NITIE. The rich alumni base includes : Rahaju Pal, Director of DeloitteB. Prasada Rao, CMD in BHELPankaj Agarwal Global, Delivery Head in Tata Consultancy Services.
The Exam structure is quite easy and scoring. Every module or trimester consists of 6 subjects. Mark structure is 60% for final exam and 40% divided into mid-term exams, assignments and ppts.
The Faculty of NITIE is very reputed from all the areas : Marketing, Supply chain management, Operations, Finance, Accounts, Industrial Engg, Project Management. They deliver lectures in a very classy way quoting real life business examples helping students to understand in a better way.
The institute has made 90+ companies visit our campus. Although the placement lies in the hands of students the campus has managed to place 90% of its students. The highest bagged package his year was 16 lakh as CTC. And the average package is near 6.5 lac to 7 lac. The placement season starts from the 4th semester of the program. The profile offered by the company ranges from business development executive, sales manager, sales executive, underwriter, analysis, management trainee etc.
After entering the college, the hustle for the placements start within a month, we are asked to prepare our CVs and apart from that several competitions start coming at the campus, either we can sit at placements and get an offer or we can win a competition to get one, several competitions offer PPI(Pre Placement Interview) and PPO(Pre Placement Offer). After 2 months companies start coming to campus and the interview process starts. The companies visit at college is all the top players in their field offering various roles in different domains. The average package is around 18 lakhs CTC and the highest goes to around 53 lakhs CTC. There are ample opportunities coming at the campus, we just need to be prepared to grab one as soon as it comes to us because of the batch strength, the competition is high. NMIMS is able to achieve 100% placement.
Placement season begins from the month of October and continues till March, i.e. from the 5th trimester onwards. 100+ companies visited for the year 2020-21 and on average 2-3 offers were made per company. The highest package offered was 21 LPA and the lowest being 6 LPA. Almost 98% of the batch got placed in the year 2020-21.
The placements are really satisfactory in the college with an average package of 800000 per annum. The college help and facilitate the placement and strives for 100% placement. There is a dedicated placement committee which takes care of all the the process.
The students become eligible from trim 5 for campus placements. The average package offered is around 10L. The approximate companies that visited the campus were 50-60 and the highest package received in the 2021 batch is 22 lacs p.a. 100% batch is placed for summers as well as for final placements and the role offered is also good.
To take admission in MIT school of business I had given MIT exam and scored 82 percentile in that. I had prepared a lot for exam but anyhow I managed to score 82 percentile. It contains multiple choice questions with different sections. Like Qualitative Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension etc.
I got admission in MIT school of business by clearing MAT exam. First of all you need to have a score card of MAT CAT or any other management related exams which you can find on MIT's website. There are various stages of taking admission in this college.
