The factors which drove me to take admission in this college are its academic facilities, satisfactory placement record and ragging free campus. The college fees is not too high in comparison to other private colleges.
The college is affiliated to AKTU and follows the course curriculum as prescribed by AKTU. The faculties are highly educated and experienced. They deliver the lectures with great enthusiasm and focus on whether a student is able to grasp or not.
The placement is not that good because the average package offered is very low. No mass recruiting company visits to campus. About 55% of students are only placed every year. Rest students have no offer in their hands.
The campus life at KIT is also good. Various technical events like workshops, seminars, guest lectures, etc are conducted. There are many clubs running like Danzeal club for dancers, Itunes for singers, etc. The annual cultural fest is also a great attraction.
Students are eligible to take part in a college placement drive during their 3rd year in the UG degree. From what I've heard, the placement committee is good, and the companies offering placement are the top companies in India including the top auditing firms like Infosys, HCL, WIPRO, etc.
Students have to complete an internship program in their area of specialization during the 7th semester. All the students after their 6th semester become eligible for campus placements. The placements offered are very good. Companies like Infosys , Wipro, HCL, IBM, Amazon, etc. depending on the course studied. At the end it depends on the capability of the student.
In my 3rd year or can say during the 5th and 6th semester I started appearing in campus placements. Now, the name of the companies visited our college were Naukri.com, TCI, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, Amazon, Trade India, Genpact.
Students are eligible from the penultimate semester for placements. Accenture and Wipro were bulk recruiters with 1000+ offers, pay package was 3.5 lakh PA The biggest pay was from a Japanese company, only 2 offers made at 32 lakh PA
I chose MNNIT Allahabad as it is one of the best engineering colleges in north India. Moreover, it has great coding culture and placement statistics. The institute is 60+ years old and thus has a great alumni base, to take guidance from. Plus, it was the first college in India to start a Computer Science and Engineering branch. The admission process takes place through JoSAA after giving Jee Mains exam. I read various blogs on quora for comparing my own college with other IITs and NITs and came to the conclusion that I will choose MNNIT.
Our college is quite well known for campus placements and average as well as highest package is very good. Companies visiting for software development are very good including Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Myntra, Flipkart, Codenation, etc. More than 90% of the students get placed (in software field) every year and the rest opt for higher studies or civil services or entrepreneurship. I want to go for corporate job after getting my B.Tech degree.
Placements are been offered from the 6th semester. Many companies are visiting in college. The whole year companies are coming and offering jobs to students. Average package is about 4 lakhs per annum and the highest is more than 8-10 lakhs. Percentage required is just 60%. After getting the degree I have planned for the job. Ist I will go for govt jobs than private.
