College management was very good and supportive. The only bad thing about college was that campus placement.
UPCET, since my percentile was not good, I had to take admission on donation basis. Since my percentile was not good, I had no more options to chose the college of my desire.
Course curriculum was quite extensive and good. All the colleges in Utter pradesh were operating under the same university(UP technical university). In that way all colleges which were operating under the UP technical university had same curriculum despite of the fact if it was a private college or a govt college. All students were assessed on same examination test.
Since our college was new, they had very less no of contacts with the companies and students had to strive hard for their internship. I would say it was not a good experience for us. we got the stipend of rs 3000 per month during the internship.
Every year we were celebrating annual function after getting admission in each session. Other than that few industrial visits were organized by our college. That was the amazing experience of our college life.
Fees was not too expensive. our yearly fee was 19000 per month. since i opted hostel to stay, so i had to pay 10000rs per month for hostel charges and 10000 rs for mess charges.
No there was not facility like loan and scholarship and the reason being , our college was newly opened and they had no experience in that field.
Campus life was good. we had mechanical labs, computer labs. gender ratio was 5:1 there were few sports which college used to organize. like cricket and volleyball.
Hostel facility was good. we had geyser for hot water in bathrooms. We had a playground to play in the evening. Mess food was not good.
As i said we were the first batch of our college and we had no seniors. But when our juniors came, our interaction with the students were very good.we were very friendly and there was no ragging concept at all.
Exam structure was too lengthy it was very difficult to complete all the questions on time. Since the syllabus was very wide it was very difficult to pass the exam.
Faculty of the college were good. since our college was new, they hired good experienced teacher so that results should come good. This could improve the college reputation in forthcoming years, so they hired good faculty.
Students are eligible to take part in a college placement drive during their 3rd year in the UG degree. From what I've heard, the placement committee is good, and the companies offering placement are the top companies in India including the top auditing firms like Infosys, HCL, WIPRO, etc.
Students have to complete an internship program in their area of specialization during the 7th semester. All the students after their 6th semester become eligible for campus placements. The placements offered are very good. Companies like Infosys , Wipro, HCL, IBM, Amazon, etc. depending on the course studied. At the end it depends on the capability of the student.
In my 3rd year or can say during the 5th and 6th semester I started appearing in campus placements. Now, the name of the companies visited our college were Naukri.com, TCI, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, Amazon, Trade India, Genpact.
Students are eligible from the penultimate semester for placements. Accenture and Wipro were bulk recruiters with 1000+ offers, pay package was 3.5 lakh PA The biggest pay was from a Japanese company, only 2 offers made at 32 lakh PA
I chose MNNIT Allahabad as it is one of the best engineering colleges in north India. Moreover, it has great coding culture and placement statistics. The institute is 60+ years old and thus has a great alumni base, to take guidance from. Plus, it was the first college in India to start a Computer Science and Engineering branch. The admission process takes place through JoSAA after giving Jee Mains exam. I read various blogs on quora for comparing my own college with other IITs and NITs and came to the conclusion that I will choose MNNIT.
Our college is quite well known for campus placements and average as well as highest package is very good. Companies visiting for software development are very good including Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Myntra, Flipkart, Codenation, etc. More than 90% of the students get placed (in software field) every year and the rest opt for higher studies or civil services or entrepreneurship. I want to go for corporate job after getting my B.Tech degree.
Placements are been offered from the 6th semester. Many companies are visiting in college. The whole year companies are coming and offering jobs to students. Average package is about 4 lakhs per annum and the highest is more than 8-10 lakhs. Percentage required is just 60%. After getting the degree I have planned for the job. Ist I will go for govt jobs than private.
