Student's Review On Thapar Institute Of Engineering And Technology - [Thapar], Patiala
Remarks :
Thapar Univeristy has a very good NIRF Ranking. Thapar also has a very good placement record, especially for Computer Engineering Students. Our University has a very big exposure to every kind of events from Technical to Cultural Fests, primarily due to such diversity of students. All my well wishers wanted me to get into this University.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course Curriculum is quite Updated. Professors have done PhD in their respective fields. They are all friendly. Professors used new age technology to teach in class. Tutorials, Labs are helpful in better understanding.
Placement Experience :
Thapar has very good placement records especially for Computer Students. Highest Package last year was around 70 lacs p. a. and that keeps on increasing every year. Thapar invites companies from all around the globe for Placement.
College Events :
Everything was great. Jagrata, Cultural Fests, mudra nite, Nox, hostel parties and the list goes on. Everything is just fantastic. Environment is too good. Active participation from students. Saturnalia is the biggest fest of North India.

Placement Experience :
From 3rd year internship starts, the company offers a good package, one of the senior got in MakeMyTrip for an 8 LPA internship. Just practice hard and you can crack good packages, that is the main thing here. Placements are average as it's a private university.
Placement Experience :
College provides good placement from the 5th semester you are eligible for an Internship and from the 7th semester, you are eligible for placement. Almost every company visit our college like Amazon, Adobe, HCL, Infosys, Wipro, Microsoft. Almost 90% students placed from cse branch, almost 5% students get more than 20+ lakh placement 20% students get 15+ lakh, 40% 6+ lakh and others get 4-5 lakh. 42 lakh is the highest placement and the average placement is 5 lakh. My plan is to get a placement with a dream package.

About 95% of students are placed. The highest domestic package offered is 42 LPA, the average package is 5-6 LPA. Top recruitment companies include Amazon, Microsoft, IBM etc. 50-60% of the students got internships in top companies. SDE roles are offered in our courses.

Students are offered some really good placements here with companies like CTS, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, IBM, HP, etc with the highest packages going as high as 40 lacks per annum. Most of the students are eligible for Internships. 3rd year (for BTech).

From 6th sem students starts getting placed in companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. The highest package for BTech is 42 lac per annum and the average package is 89 lacs per annum. 100% of students get placed like so many companies visit LPU. You can do the job or you can start your own business.
Placement Experience :
As in the BTech, CSE branch from 3rd or 7th-semester students becomes eligible for campus placement and in my college the campus placement for this branch is much appreciable as other colleges. There are a lot of companies visits each year for hiring students like Google, Microsoft, Apple, IBM, and much more and approx 70 offers made for us. The highest package of cs branch is 37Lpa last year and average package is 6 LPA that is Good among all. 80 to 90% of students got placed via campus placement and its dar better than any private university. I also told you about becoming a software engineer so I want to place in Google as a software engineer.

There are two types of admission one with LPUNEST exam and the other with JEE mains or 12th Score
Remarks :
Money minting for every single thing. Charged for placements held in other college for resume making etc workshop saying that its compulsory as students will not be allowed to sit in placement exam which actually held in other college.
