I chose The Oxford College Of Engineering because I wanted to opt for mechatronics as my major for graduation. Back in 2017, it was one of the three colleges under VTU, providing this course in the entire state of Karnataka. Considering factors like placements, exposure, teaching methodology and proximity, I opted for this college.
I chose Mechatronics because it deals with robotics and artificial intelligence, and that is my area of interest. I have had about 40-45 students in my class and each one gets the opportunity to be well-groomed by the faculties. All the faculties, at the least, have completed their masters and are good at delivering topics and teaching. Term exams were conducted as per the schedule set by VTU. The difficulty level of papers were easy to moderate. If one attends classes regularly and studies at home as well, then passing is no big deal.
Generally, students become eligible for applying to jobs by the commencement of 6th semester. There have been all the top-notch companies that have visited our college, ranging from IBM, Infosys to Zomato and PayPal. My plans after completing my engineering are to pursue higher studies, most likely, MBA.
This is my 4th year at Oxford and there hasn't been any fee hike as I have secured my admission through merit, based on CET ranking.
Each year, we have the cultural and tech fest called Impulse and Milana. They are usually conducted in the even semesters, in the months of March and April. The library of my college is well equipped and resourceful, with books and journals available to one and all, and periodically updated with new ones. The annual sports meet is also conducted in even semesters around March-April. Both faculties and students take part in various events.
From the 6th semester the students got eligibility to attend the campus interview. Package is upto 10 lakhs.
You all know about the admission process in IIT you have to be clear 12th standard with 75% plus marks and also so you to have clear the cutoff range of JEE advanced only then you can take admission in this college
If I talk about the average package you can get in this college then it is about 1200000 rupees and the highest package is about 30 lakh rupees which is very good but it is not that easy you have to study hard
There are two phases you have to qualify to get admission in my college. First, you have to give the Joint Entrance Exam- Mains. If you will qualify that with good marks then you have to give Joint Entrance Exam- Advance. If you will qualify this then you will get admission in this college. You will get your favourite course as per the marks you got in JEE Advance.
The placement in my college is very good. I was also placed in a reputed firm with a decent package. At my time, all my batch mates were placed in different companies. Apart from this, we have also done an internship which we got from the university. They have given us stipend ranging from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 100,000.
Interested in information Science and Engineering and to explore many new things and interested in software development and also many of them suggested to join artificial intelligence so because of that reason I have joined BTech Engineering in Information Science and Engineering
I got admission Through Kcet (an entrance test conducted all over karnataka). I am studying 3rd year mechanical engineering in PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY
Placements are good in PRESIDENCY UNIVERSITY, And the UNIVERSITY provides internship without stipends at 4th semester and 8th semesters however students are allowed to do UNIVERSITY projects if they are not interested in internships
Needs to improve the campus selection More companies should be introduced to college And more of practical should be thought to students Labs should be more interesting and provoke students to take part in more activities
