    Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram is one among the first Law colleges in kerala, rich with famous alumni all around the world which includes a major portion of legal executives, politicians, judges, and advocates in kerala. The college has the best library with biggest collection of law books in the country.

    CAMPUS LIFE

    Our campus is 5 acres in area located at the heart of the trivandrum city. Includes Hostel block which was inaugurated by the then president of india fakrudhin ali ahammed in 1975. That hostel block is currently used for accommodation of female students. Male students are accommodated in the Law College block of the Kerala University mens hostel.

    COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

    Our course syllabus and curriculum is set and revised by the University of Kerala by consulting with BAR Council of India which holds the duty to maintain legal education standards in india. Our college hosts the most famous Justice VR Krishna iyyer memorial Moot court, and also has a wide alumni comprising of famous law firms which provide internships.     COLLEGE EVENTS

    The campus life is not as much as good as expected. The academics part serves well where as the extracurricular activities are not at all entertained and funded by the government. The college also has student politics which ruins the unity among the students and brings in regular clashes between the students.

From the fourth year. Most of the students who achieved a remarkable score made it into the placements. The campus selection is good enough. After getting a degree I'm planning to do my Masters abroad. With a double degree, I think my career is going to brighten.

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.

Positive - fees is less, you be self efficient, become bold and acquire knowledge (academically and for life). Study lessons for life also. Will be able to withstand all extreme conditions. Learn to live without expectations Negative - no hostel, no campus space, only 84 cents. No ground. No good people, no placement cell.

The positive thing was our law faculties and the negative one was that there is no authority for speak for the needs of students. The college doesn't allow elections for the chairman and other posts under the university rules.
