FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
Being a government college, the fees are extremely low at JBIMS as compared to its private peers. The institute is known for having a high return on investment. There are no additional charges/donations and admission is only basis merit. The course fee was recently revised to ~6 lakhs for 2 years.
All students are placed with handsome packages. Top firms across Consulting, FMCG, BFSI, Manufacturing and IT make offers at JBIMS. The students get help from the rich alumni base, faculty to prepare for the interviews. Generally companies conduct online aptitude/psychometric tests followed by GD/Case discussions, and several rounds of personal interviews.
The admission to the MMS course is based on the Maharashtra CET score. College is allotted based on the preferences input for the CAP rounds. The legacy of the college is such that the college features in the top of every CET taker's preference list. The placements, fees, faculty were the key factors responsible for me opting to choise the institute.
Yes. The institute offers 25 seats at a Government Boys hostel located in Churchgate. Hostel is allotted based on merit. The hostel is in a prime location at Churchgate, a minutes' walk from the Marine Drive.
The college has a rich alumni network and is called the CEO Factory for a reason. There is abundant interaction with the immediate senior batch. Many alums still keep in touch with the batches and offer guidance to the students.
The faculty at JBIMS is absolutely top class. The opportunity to learn from industry professionals helps get real time insights into what is happening in the businesses. A large chunk of the professors are visiting faculty who have tremendous experience and holding top positions across the industries.
JBIMS is located at a prime location in the business capital of the country. It operates out of one iconic Red bricked building equipped with a vast library, auditorium and state of the art classrooms. The gender ratio differs from batch to batch. In general there are students from varying educational backgrounds including IITs/NITs, CAs, doctors, sportspersons, etc enabling peer to peer learning.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The course is updated regularly to adapt to the trends in the industry. A summer internship at the end of the first year helps to give a flavour of the roles and kind of opportunities available on completion of the course. A large part of the second year includes research and project work.
Prayaag is the festival organised at the Institute. It comprises of exciting activities including Case study competitions, Quizzes, sports, etc Numerous corporate competitions organised by companies like HUL, P&G, Colgate, Pepsi, Tata Steel, Accenture, EY, PwC invite participation from JBIMS.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
There are scholarships awarded to meritorious candidates by the alumni of the college. There are 3 awards/scholarships.in memory of late alums of the 1986 batch.
