The college secures the 3rd rank in Dehradun and offers genuine education.
With each semester ranging from 4- 6 months of duration, it is long enough to make oneself understand better exams are held twice a year known as end semester examination besides that between the period of classes started and last sem exams, weekly class tests are conducted by the particular department itself.
Coming on the placement, the training and placement cell do every possible way and technique to make their child stand out of the crowd the training ad placement cell (T&P) cell genuinely does the hard work that is the reason they every time reach a milestone to invite 150+ companies to the campus and those companies recruit students according to their skills I myself got placed in two companies and they also regularly provide information about current internship programs.
The events that are organized by the college are divided and occupy the whole year like sports, cultural meet, founders day, various seminars, debates, annual fest(PINAK), project orientation day(NAVDHARA), visits power stations, Diwali Mela, and followed by other events each and every student is free to participate in every event with the exception of navdhara because this event is only for final and prefinal year students (b. Tech and polytechnic). And hostel DJ nights are also conducted for hostel students.
The fee structure of the college is feasible as one can opt for a period to give the college fees, the fees structure is thus can be given in 3 divided months like 50% in the first half and rest 50% which is again divided into (25%-25%) in the second half of the year.
As I am a regular local student with the availability of college transport facility, I didn't opt for a hostel, neither the education loan, But one can avail it anyway because the tution fee is less compared to other institutes.
As you live your time in the campus, you'll find serenity and quite environment, one suitable for the classrooms because college is secluded from the main city and is in amidst nature with little noise around the college, but one will find enough number of student to interact with at college grounds, the campus is almost green, with agricultural fields and mountain range surrounding the college, gender ratio is almost equal with the exception in mechanical engineering which is almost (40:1 ) which only few or no girl opt for, whatever may b the reason besides this course every course have equal gender ratio, college labs are well furnished be it chemistry, electrical, physics, workshops etc with all the machines working, regular sports events are organised on the basis of category cricket, football, basketball, volleyball with suitable practicing ground at the college itself, beside that annual project competition (navdhaara ) is also organized, so students from various college can flaunt their practical knowledge which is followed by annual fest, debates, discussions and, GD are also conducted which are organised by personality and development department.
As I am a regular student with the availability of college transport I didn't opt for the hostel as I can manage to travel back to my living place, but the college has their residential areas with each separate building for boys and girls with the common mess, well-furnished hostel rooms, and hostel environment.
Alumni are always there when needed, they always conduct seminars and presentations about how to survive the competition and how to prepare oneself for facing interviews and all about jobs and particular respective fields, likewise, seniors help in making projects and books and notes.
My admission details could vary from another student perspective but it is quite an easy process, I reached the campus with all my documents and was asked some question regarding which course I have to choose and why I have to choose it, after doing official paperwork, I was taken to take a look at the campus and the classrooms, after paying the admission fee I got admitted to the college.
One can assess the faculty anytime be it online or offline the average of 7 lectures are divided per day 5 days a week, with the faculty members with individual experiences in several companies and institutions, faculties vary from experiences to veteran they always ask students if they are getting it or not.
From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Some It sector company and nearby industry worker visit in our campus, they made so many offer for the student with good package. the highest package is almost 13 lakh per anum and the average package is approx 3 lakh per anum. the package depends on the project you work on in the college. Almost 75% of students got placement every year from the college. Some of the students started their startups. My plan after getting a degree is to get a good job with a good package.
In 2020 1645 students have participated in the campus placement and 1470 students got placed which means 89% of students get placed. Average salary of engineering is 4.50lpa Highest salary of engineering is 15lpa
College really tries hard to get all the people placed but NIT all student get placement some goes for higher studies some get offline offers. Those who are getting offline placed are in much better company than the student getting placed through on campus.
From the 7th semester, a student is eligible for campus placement. Think and learn about Wipro and some others companies as well. The highest package is 6 lakhs per annum. Around 20-30% of students got placed. My plans are to study and get an assistant engineer or junior engineer job.
I am currently in my 2nd year going to 3rd year so I cannot answer any of these questions. The highest package was 45 LPA last year and the average is I think 10 LPA. Some company names are Microsoft, Xebia, Dell, Infosys, etc. 100 percent of students were placed in Computer science branch last year. My plans after getting the degree are to do M-Tech.
The management must understand the financial problem of any student and help him. Also the management should not impose useless fines.
