Overall I wont over excessively remark a great number to my college. I would say its a temple which has lots of devotees came for yatra.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is wide. Our college ranks one of the best college in Asia continent. The study is theory base which is also practiced through practicals and education trips. I remember that I have gone to Amul Industrial estate at Anand, Gujarat for an educational trip. It was grear to know how milk and other by products are produced.
Placement Experience
Some of the faculties provide campus placements. For research studies also provides internships. Mahindra and Mahindra, TCS, L&T, Zydex Industry Ltd, etc, has come for campus placements in our college.
College Events
Each and every festival has been celebrated in our college. Whether its Navratri or Holi, Diwali or Eid, Janmashtami or Gandhi Jayanti. Students from whole college except respective faculties have participated such events or festivals. Students come from different faculties to enjoy the joyous occasion held by other faculties.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My college is State Government University. Comes under Gujarat Government rules and regulations. The fees is super affordable. Few faculties are charging fees higher than usual because of private teachings. For example, faculty of management studies charge yearly fee which is more than 50k but less than 100k
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
No. I havent opted for any scholarship or education loan. There is no such requirement for Indian students. No need for education loan as this college gives you the best teaching with lowest fees.
Campus Life
There are equal students of male and female combined in our college. These students are admitted on the basis of knowledge and merit. There is no gender inequality. College give rights to students to elect for various ranks such as FGS,UGS,CR,FR,etc. All these are won by votes given individually by all over fellows of the college.
Hostel Facilities
Nope. I havent. I am a localite. I haven't been in a hostel ever. My college is hardly 10kms away from where I reside. Baroda is a small city of a very small radius. It starts and ends and didnt give you time to think whether you're still inside the city or wiped out.
Alumni/Alumna
There are many alumni of our college. I can give an example of I.G Patel the fourteenth governor of RBI. A famous alumni counted by Venkatraman who won Noble Prize in Physics.
Admission
I got admission by a small departmental test and then got selected by merit list. These test includes quantitative analysis, English language, Logical reasoning, General Knowledge. All these questions makes you ready for the test. No one can predict what the level would be but though I think students are far smarter.
Faculty
Commerce faculty, the largest faculty with huge number of students of our college. The professors are best in class and teaching once you opt for lectures and not bunk. Attending lectures will make you learn things utmost. There is no need of personal tutor.
