Good Remarks:- The faculties are experienced. Dynamic methodolgy and contingency approach in teaching. A sense of brotherhood among students. Teacher- student relationship is very open. Fees structure is really affordable. Library service is commendable. All books are accessible. Bad Remarks:- Political influence. Smaller Infrastructure. Fooding and canteen facility is not good.
The course as well as curriculum is practical. Every chapter involves some sort of case study and we were always taken to Industrial tours to understand the topics which were taught in classroom, practically and in real life scenario. The course and my university had provided me apt resources to gain the skills that were needed in the corporate world. Our department provides specialization in Advertising and Marketing Communications, E-commerce, Corporate Communication and Entertainment Communication.
The placement of my college is average. The students here are mostly from Media Studies. Journalism is the core focus of the college. Therefore, the college invites companies related Media and Journalism for placements. Most of the companies are either News Channels, Newspaper Agencies, PR agencies and Advertising agencies. Some of the known companies are Aaj tak, Zee News, ETV, TV9, Madhyam, ByteDance, etc.
There are no specific techincal fests organised, instead there are Technical sessions of all the departments existing in the university. Our Department has Management Fest in which Management Schools from different parts of the country participate in various events. The annual cultural and sports fest in our college is Pratibha, where students showcase their talent in dancing, singing, acting, public speaking and other cultural and sports events.
As it is a National University as in runned by Madhya Pradesh Government, the fees structure is very affordable for the students. My fees is 60, 000 rupees for 2 year course in MBA Media Management. Even that fees is divided into 8 installments, of which only one part is to be paid during admission and rest are paid with two intervals per semester.
No, I have not applied for any Scholarship. I do not know about any scholarship schemes that is to be applied. The only scholarship I know about is the Topper's scholarship. Under this, If A student scores the highest marks in the class, he/ she is rewarded with Rs 5000/- as a motivational amount. The second topper is given an amount of Rs 4000/-.
Campus life is very familiar. No one discriminates you as it is a Journalism University. Every one lives with a sense of brotherhood here. The only thing that is in the university is Political influence among the Faculties. The change in the Governance in Madhya Pradesh always leads to the change in system of the University, which is bothe good and nad for the development of the University.
The alumni network is very strong. We as students of Media always keep a check on our alumnis and our teachers always call our alumnis for interactions with us. The senior- junior bonding is also bery strong here and teachers also promote this act of us.
I applied for the course of Media Management in MCU, Bhopal through its website. After applying I was given online admit card and a local exam centre was assigned to me in my Native state as chosen by me. I went and wrote my Exams. It was a mixture of both Subjective as well as Objective questions. After two weeks, the results were announced and my name was there on the merit list. Then, I visited the main campus of Bhopal where we were called for Counselling. The counselling was conducted by a group of experts in Media as well as Management. I was asked various questions related to the subject I opted to study to analyze my basic knowledge and then I was selected for the course. I had to pay the admission fee online through MPONLINE portal and then we were told to join the classes from the assigned date by the university.
The faculty of my college are very co operative. They understand that no student is God gifted and everyone has the right to ask any question they want to. Our HOD, Dr Avinash Bajpai always gives us knowledge about the practical approach of Management in life.
