The management is not that good. We have had many incidents about our answer sheets not getting evaluated properly or other incidents.
My faculty is the Department of Petrochemical Engineering and we learn all the core chemical engineering subjects and then we have core petrochemical engineering subjects and some elective subjects that are an integral part of any industry. Most of it is relevant.
To be honest, we get very few on campus placements, almost 10% or less are placed. First of all, any company takes a aptitude test and then based on the results of aptitude test they call in students for an interview. Since this year, yes the university is organizing compulsory mock aptitude tests for senior years and even few mock interviews.
Our university's technical event is called Cynosure. It is hosted by all the departments in the university. It ranges in various aspects of science. We also have a cultural event which is Abhiyanta Vasanta. More than an event its like a gathering. Mostly, the only people who participate in these events are we but students from some other colleges do participate.
It's not feasible and yes, it's expensive. Inspite of being a government funded university it lacks the infrastructure and a big chunk of our fees is development fees, it doesn't make sense. The university gets a lot of fund from government for development still, we don't see any development.
Since our university is government university, we get scholarships from the government. Those are basically government schemes and even some of the local industries give scholarships to a selective group of students who are meritorious.
As a university that comes under Central Government, it is not up to mark, the campus life. Be it extracurricular activities or labs they are not good. We have technical and sports events every year, it's not exactly competitions involving robots and debates but yes there are events.
A few of our alumni are helpful and they have forged a path in the local industries. Some of our seniors have a bad reputation for just taking experience for a year and then leaving it for other opportunities.
Primarily, you have to give MH-CET test, it's an entrance test held by the DTE, Maharashtra. This exam consist of three parts Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Entire exam is of 200 marks. The exam is held in April or first week of May. The exam score is out in 1 or 1 and ½ months. Then the CAP rounds starts and they take you according to your score decided by a cutoff.
We have really few senior faculty members and even the ad hoc faculty isn't that sincere about taking daily lectures. Most of our ad hoc faculty are recently passed out. They do expect from us to go to an industry and learn from them but the faculty doesn't teach us like you may face these problems in the industry be prepared for that.

A single-offer-letter-per-student policy is very strictly followed which means that once a student is selected by a company he/she is not allowed to appear for any other company interviews scheduled through the college. Each student need to submit the percentage of marks and contact details in VI Semester, If they fail in submitting /updating the mark list by the end of the VI semester they will not be permitted to attend the interviews starting from VII semester onwards.
I got admission to the institute through the merit list and the admission process is common for all the students. I choose this institute because they provide space for each student for learning. Not only for learning but also for extracurricular activities institute give proper guidance to students.
Overall, college is good though the scene is different department wise, I think it needs to improve on the placements.
There are no bad remarks as such. Only Attendance is a issue. 75% is must.

The faculty of our college is very good and supportive and we have a good infrastructure.
There are always positives and negatives, but mostly positives are more from my view. I was an important part of college, and won many awards for college, the help and support provided by college for earning those awards was very crutial and important.
