It's a fairly good choice to choose our college.
I am from Mechanical branch. The curriculum is fairly good and the profs are very knowledgeable, coming to placements our branch 90% of students are placed every year roughly. A small industrial visit was arranged too. About the course being industrial specific hmmm. it's an yes, but some courses I didn't find them relevant.
Core companies like reliance, bajaj, birla etc, there is a real good opportunity to get placed in management and software profiles too. Roughly 90% students get placed every year.
Technical-Technozion, Cultural-Springspree. These are some big fests across south India, Technozion is the technical fest this has many events in which students from various colleges come to participate. There are many events with cash prizes. Springspree is a cultural fest where some celebrities come perform. Both fests are 3 day fests.
I come under 1 lakh income and open category(OC)-So my tuition fee is 0, only mess, hostel etc fees comes around 50k per year. For other category there is a different fee structure. If your parents are government job holders you need to pay around 1,50,000 per year as tuition fee and the rest fee are same.
There is a merit scholarship for the top students for every branch, there are more scholarship as of my knowledge.
Gender ratio is approximately 2:1, there are many clubs and student activities held every day. Around 20+ clubs are there, some gender inequality complaints pop up here and there but according to me that's not too much but we can notice it at some places. There are something called batches where students from same region forms a group, this thing I really don't like but it has its perks too.
Yes. There are many hostels in our campus namely 1. 8k, 1k mega hostels, girls hostel, old blocks. Recently they are planning for 1. 3k mega hostel for girls. The facilities are fairly good especially the mega hostels, the old blocks need to be renovated but the atmosphere is awesome around these blocks.
Really good. As our college is 50+ year old the alumni network is really big and strong, they really help in placements.
I got into the college through jee mains rank. The admission process for selecting a college is through online and then we should register offline by visiting our college which we got in online options. I choose this college because it's is in our state and has a good name across the country, so it was a no trainer for me to choose this college according to my jee rank.
Some profs are really good at the subject and also they interact with students in a friendly manner but some are not up to the mark. We can find many Senior professors in every branch in our college, many are upto the mark with the updated ung their skills and coping up with the latest tech.
