AIM has given me the best time of my life. I have met some incredible professors and classmates who have given me a lot of learn from. I thank AIM for giving me the platform to grow and be successful.
AIM has a fairly concise course curriculum that is updated frequently according to the latest additions in the country-wide curriculum. There are a variety of subjects starting of General Management to Risk Assessment. AIM believes in a holistic development of student and focuses on the soft skills development of students such as communication and presentation skills. Students are evaluated on internal as well as external exams.
AIM ensures at least 80% placements for the batch. In our batch, most of the students got placed and the highest package went up to 6-5 LPA. Companies like Mahindra, Nestle, Infosys recruited students from our batch. Depending on the specialisation, there are many lucrative internship opportunities for students with decent stipend.
I had a great time enjoying the festivals in Assam. Since, I belong from North India I got a huge exposure of the culture of the north east. The Bihu celebrations in AIM are impeccable. There are so many performances done by students, it is a full fiesta.
AIM is much economical than most of the B-Schools in India. The full PGDM course is for 3.3 INR which includes tuition fees, examination fees and accommodation fees. The payment is to be made over 6 trimesters.
AIM hosts a lot of academic events such a national conferences, debates, sports tournaments, cultural meets etc. A lot of inter college and intra college competitions are regularly conducted to encourage students. Apart from that, blood donation camps and events involving NGOs are a frequent occurrence at AIM.
There are different hostels for girls and boys. They are very well constructed and are close to the academic building. The building are spacious and clean. Students can opt for AC or NON-AC accommodations. The fees differ accordingly.
For admission on merit, the candidate has to have a Graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD). For candidates having graduation marks below 60%, a valid score of CAT/XAT/MAT is required. Final selection is based on the results of group discussion and personal interview.
I was blessed to study under great mentors who were ready to provide necessary guidance at every step of the way. They are very knowledgeable in their fields and are very dedicated towards their duty as teachers. AIM hosted a lot of Guest lectures where teachers from renowned institutes came and gave interactive lectures to the students. This ensured very excellent industry exposure that has helped me in my career.
Since it was near my hometown I opted for this university. The teaching staff is amazing here. They constantly push you towards achieving any goal, big or small. The department has its own EMRC building which consists of all the necessary equipment that a Mass Communication class needs. My admission was done through an Entrance exam which was conducted by the Mass Communication department. First, a written test and then the selected candidates were required to sit for a group discussions round. Based on the written test and GD, around 50 students were shortlisted out of 150-200.
ETV Bharat, IOC, OIL. Placement companies here is really not consistent. They come for one year and do not the next year. Some batch gets the best placement and some do not. Maybe because the University does not have much exposure.
I select the college because this sibsagar Commerce college is located in the central area of Sivasagar District. The campus is suburban and very beautiful with a big tank near the college. The environment is peaceful and calming for the students. Also there areown canteen and library at the college. The college has wifi and others facilities. It organises a college week every year also some other programs, seminars and other important activities for students. The college is best in all aspects. The teachers of the college is highly qualified and good in explaining things. They helps every student if they face any problem and make them participate in other extra activities also. They are friendly and not rigid. There is a computer lab also. The courses at the college are in higher secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate level. The fees vary in every course almost 10-20 thousands. The undergraduate courses are B.com, BCA, and BA and the postgraduate level courses are M.Com and PGDCA. Admission to all undergraduate programs are based on merit basis and for M.Com, an entrance is to be given by students which is held by the Dibrugarh University with which the college is affiliated. The students may receive scholarships of central government or government of Assam where the teachers and staff of the college helps students to get information and apply. There are popular major for commerce and arts such as accountancy, banking, e-commerce, marketing and human resource management. For arts, Economics, English, Sociology etc.The college provides some government courses and professional diploma courses of 1 year that are hospitality management, GST, mass communication, beautician etc. which are provided by government (Skill development courses). The college provides hostel facility to girls on the campus. And for boys out of campus. But the college campus is too small. And the pass percentage is not more than 50 percentage. Now, students can apply to this college through the college website which is sibsagarcommercecollege.org.in.
Many of the students go for higher studies. But some find job on their own and some joins business. The college is affiliated with TCS and the TCS personnels come to train the final semester students with personal and professional activities. After that they take interviews of the students and almost 90% of the students that took training get placed in TCS.
This college includes only girls students. It's faculty is very good. College admission process is totally on merit based. About 2500 girls students enroll in college every year. This college is situated on the western bank of the picturesque and the historic Dighalipukhuri, Guwahati.
The college has established network with several recruitment agencies for offering placement opportunities to the final year students and the pass out students through campus interviews. The placement cell regularly organizes various programs for enhancing employability of the students through workshops personality development camps and IT skill development camps. Every year good amount of girls student that's placement in good companies. My plans after graduation is pursuing my post graduation and my Honours subject.
Our centre have almost all the necessary facilities as well as equipments which a centre needs. We have language lab, communication lab and computer lab as well. Our centre is only the centre of dibrugarh university where we own a library named LIRU and have access to it although we have Central library as well. It also provides hostel facilities for boys. Lastly our centre is one of the cleanest centre of dibrugarh university.
The quality of placement here are good enough for students studying here. As I'm new to the organisation the I'll be unable to provide the exact percentage of students placed and the highest salary package. Our training and placement cell are giving their best to provide the students best placements.
Since the time I found myself loving biology more than any other subject, I was quite sure to pursue my career either in Botany or Zoology. After a lot of research and attending career counseling, I finalized to opt for Agriculture. The most fascinating thing about this course is, it sets out nobel professions. Agriculture is the backbone of India. Farming is the major occupation of her father. So after completion of Agriculture counseling in AAU, I was admitted in SCS College of Agriculture,Dhubri. The college is situated miles and miles apart from my home town. To be more specific, both the districts are poles apart. It was a tough decision whether to go and study that far or not. But I preferred more to focus in my course rather than the place. And this way, now I'm a SCSCAian.
Many people insults studying agriculture but the educated ones are familiar with the career prospects that agriculture provides. There are quite many good jobs right after the completion of graduation with handsome salaries. It is not that one can only run after agricultural jobs after studying this course, but, can find opportunities in many other civil services, banking jobs, businesses, teaching professions etc.too. So it would sound foolish if one doesn't opt for agriculture thinking it to be farming only.
The atmosphere around the college and their teaching style. Its friendly environment give us the urge to study their. Also the teacher help us a lot.And the students are very competitive their. Also the environment is very eco-friendly
It was established in 1969 under The assam agricultural university act 1968. Imparting resource conserving quality and market driven education in agricultural and allied fields is institute's main goal.
I really believe the toilets could be cleaner. At the present situation at least it is barely usable for anyone in my department. Air Conditioning is there but aren't really taken care of. Computer Lab has plenty of computers but few of them lie useless. The campus is beautiful and is pleasant through out the day with cool breeze blowing and trees everywhere. The staff overall can be really helpful in sorting things out for you. They are friendly and one for sure, you will never feel you are away from here.
I approached the department after our 12th results were out and we collected the forms. I filled it up along with the requisites and then submitted the same on the due date. Out of all applicants, those who were eligible were called for a written exams which involved questions of aptitude, general knowledge, logic and reasoning and language skills. If you had scored good enough on that exam, you shall be selected and you would have to be there on the admission day where you pay the fees and get the admission procedure done. After that, you are officially a student.
Infrastructure is very good. Environment is more natural than any other institute. There are 28 lakes. The class rooms are net and clean. Our college is against of use plastics. Every where you can find dastbin.
