BEST COLLEGE EVER
REMARKS
The college has all positive traits of being one of the top colleges in the country. I haven't heard of 100% placements anywhere before. The research area in the college was great so were the students and Professors. It felt great.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The fees was 9 Lakh per year for me since I am in the general category. Which is expensive in comparison to other college. If might be less for reserved classes. But there were intact facilities provided with the fees so it never felt getting wasted.
PLACEMENT WING
The Placements and jobs opportunities are great because of two time placements in a year summer and the final. You know once you get in you will be placed because of the cent percent placement of the college. The Highest salary for our batch was 21 lakhs and and average of 18 lakhs.
ADMISSION
I have studied my Bachelor's and Masters from different colleges but I have never felt anything like I did in IIM Amritsar. I applied for the FPM - Fellow Programme in Management with my GATE score and I was lucky enough to get in. Then I had to pass a PI ( Personal Interview) and sumbit the fees.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
The hostels were flats. They were airy and we'll furnished. You could feel like home and chill out with friends sincd They're are on sharing. The food provided was great. You could also get A/C rooms.
FACULTY
Great faculty. Very supportive. It felt like a big family. The Faculty was there 24/7 to help. They were encouraging and jolly. They made sure each student understood the topic and had relevant experience and prepared us for Research ahead practically and theoretically.
CAMPUS LIFE
Sports was great. Great coaches. Great player from all over the country. I was the part of the Basketball team and it was always learning more and getting better in it everyday. All the religions were respected and so were all genders. There were a lot of workshops and they were the most fun and easy learning part.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The Curriculum was very acknowledging. There were workshops, Research assignments, Mini projects given to us to work better in our fields. The main focus was on Research in the labs and analysing and problem solving by the students.
COLLEGE EVENTS
The college was diverse with students from all over the country. All the festivals were celebrated with the same enthusiasm and it almost felt great to be a part of such big community. The dances were my favorite part and I have participated a few time myself.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
The scholarships provided weren't for the tuition fees but instead Research Assistance was provided or grants for books and other things were the part of scholarship. That was all. But it could help students with financial difficulty.
