PG PROGRAM IN STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT FROM IIM, AMRITSAR
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The fee structure for a PG Program from IIM, Amritsar is Rs. 9 lakhs for 2 years and has to be paid annually during the course of the program i.e, (Rs. 4.5 lakhs each year) which might be considered expensive by some students but if you see the opportunities offered by the college, the price is actually worth it.
PLACEMENT WING
The institute had an active internship and placement cell which was very keen on getting companies to the campus because of its reputation. The highest package in 2017 was around Rs. 20 Lakhs per annum which has now risen to up to Rs. 40 lakhs in 2019. Plus, almost all the students who were interested and eligible got placed in my batch.
ADMISSION
I did my Postgraduate program in strategic management from IIM, Amritsar. Candidates seeking admission in this course need to sit for CAT and have a decent score which is going to get them a seat here. Apart from this, students need to hold 10+2 and bachelor? degree in which they need to have more than 50% marks.
FACULTY
The faculty of the college was very experienced and intellectual. All the professors were Ph.D holders and had a great deal of experience in teaching. They used to engage us in discussions and made us present case studies which turned out to be very helpful for us in the future.
CAMPUS LIFE
The social life at IIM is one of the bests you could ever experience. All the IIMs are known for the life it offers to their students and IIM Amritsar does full justice to it. Students organize a number of events and activities throughout the year which has made them so confident. The college also organizes various webinars, seminars and workshops for the students to help them pave their future.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The curriculum of the program is very extensive and dynamic and therefore is updated every year to make it more and more relatable and informative. The course duration is 2 years and by the end of every year, the students have to give final exams and pass the practical examination which is one of the most stressful times of the year.
