I wanted to do Computer Science and here I was getting Specialization of Artificial intelligence and machine learning, so I took it. Also the environment here is quite good and all the facilities are also great, I mean the labs, classrooms everything and overall its a good place. What matters is how you study. If you study well and apply that knowledge for good the place doesn't matter.
The course and syllabus is quite good and yes its updated and mainly it is practical, meaning whatever you learn, you can use it somewhere or the other it is useful. The faculties are very good, they are PhD holders and they teach very well. It is very easy to understand the concepts and whenever we have doubts they clear them until we understand completely.
The placements and job opportunities are excellent, many top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, TCS, Wipro and many more visit here every year and all the students who sit for placement are placed successfully. For CSE the placement rate is 100%,for rest of the the branches it is little lower but overall it is very good. The placement department is very supportive and they help in making your résume and also train you for the interview and various rounds of the placement process.
The compus life is excellent and so are the fests there is huge amount of participation and we enjoy a lot. Our Cultural fest is Rubaroo which is a 2 day event where there is dance, music, recital, theatre all kinds of competitions and DJ nights. They are very enjoyable. Also there is Khel, the sports fest which is also a 2 day event, where many colleges come to compete and its very good. The tech-fest 'Innovate' is also very good but was cancelled this time due to Covid-19
I have discussed placement stats. As you know that IITK is a reputed college therefore many worldwide companies come here for recruitment like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Goodman Sachs, etc. Around 60 percent of total students get placed in placement. You will be eligible for placement in your 4th year. My plan takes a job as there are many opportunities but many students do research and opt for further studies.
Students are eligible in the second year for placement. For better placement, a placement team is formed which mainly focuses on how to get better placement for students. Out of 60 students, approx 56 students are placed every year. Many companies come from different sectors Agriculture, dairy, marketing, finance, and many more. The highest package is around 10 lakhs and averages to be 4.5 lakh
Final year students become Eligible for placement. They can participate in a job fair organised by the college. Students participate in different companies and get placed. Companies like zomato, Zaro, Axis bank, oppo, vivo etc visited the campus. Few were placed. I will be going for MBA.
There is no placement in the college you need to go for an offline interview for jobs you can go Gurgaon and Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Invertis university was the best in the region and that's the reason i commenced my admission in this university. To get enrolled for the course I wanted to opt firstly my 12th marksheet and ranks in competitive exams were checked, followed by my form submission and attesting documents, finally admission was done. I found myself quite into technical stuff, specifically related to computers and software workings and that's the reason to take B.tech(CS).
Here the placement cell satiate's that no student passes out with just a degree, but also with a satisfactory future.Various companies come to offer internships too, and a interview is held by placement cell for such and the selected students are sent by the college. Many companies visited and offered packages starting from 3 lakhs to 12 lakhs.
The infrastructure of the college can improve a lot as we have ample of space being the second largest campus in uttar pradesh. Also their is scope for improvement in the department of placement and academics. The college is no doubt one of the best institutions in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Balancing all the pros and cons, the overall experience was different and enriching for me. I appreciate it more now especially the skills I learnt there have made me a more adjustable person. Ragging is something that should stop, but then again insolence towards seniors should not be tolerated either.
