College management is really very poor you have to do various formalities not necessary and sometimes the management never cooperates with us and just wastes the time of ours. Overall i rate my college management as bad because faculties are not supportive and various departments are very rude to us. Like when you have some work in accounts office they just make your time wasted and never listens you. Also i have very worst experience with examination department as when i went to take my provisional certificate they told to fill a demand draft of 500 rupees while according to university norms it must be available for free of cost.
UPSEE state level entrance exam. I have got 40000 rank in this and took admission in B.Tech mechanical branch of the college. I am very much interested to join b.tech mechanical program because of my interest in machines and automobiles. I am interested in production also and wants to do work in production line. Thus i choose b.tech with mechanical. There was a simple interview in which they asked intermediate basics and just the verification of certificates.
The course curriculum is good but not at all satisfactory because of low reputation of college and is among some low level colleges. The faculties during first year is good but in other second third and final year faculties are not so qualified to teach. Also the infrastructure is really poor worst than a government college. During my final year when i have to do a project research work that time also i have to work for my project without any other help from faculty and i have made a research project on "STUDIES PERTAINING TO THE EFFECT OF VIBRATION ON HEAVY VEHICLE DRIVERS". Most of the teachers are post graduate only with M.TECH and some faculties who are Ph.d in their respective discipline are even so lazy to teach and overall the study pattern and education system is so poor except the first year of b.tech.
I have done my internship in UPSRTC which is a govt. Bus parts related workshop and where the engine, bus frame, wheels, gearbox etc are repaired and analysed and are assembled with so many peoples working their. In my college the company named Waves aircon came and took the written test in which i got qualified and then the interview round in which i have got selected. The package was of 1.2 lacs per annum with a bond of 3 years. The other company named akuva infotech came which has the same procedure as above like written test then interview in which i have got selected which was giving 1.34 lacs per annum with initial joining of 8k per month for training period. And also Hero Cycles came giving 12k per month in which i did not qualified . They also offered the living and fooding. Their is a growth of 1k per annum in salary.
Total 15 students were placed from b.tech mechanical in akuva infotech, waves aircon, and hero cycles. They all have a almost same package of 1.25 lacs on an average. There is no company with a reputed image came their, all are just very small companies in manufacturing field in mechanical.
The college conducts SPARDHA event, techfest, sports day and TechArch but at very low level within a college . The spardha involves various dances, singing, actings and much more this is conducted at sursadan at sanjay place . Techfest is another event in which second year students welcomes the first year students with various activities inside college.similarly sports day is a very long event which runs for many days within college campus it involves basketball competetion, cricket, football, chess, badminton, carrom and many mor games having 20 rupees charge for participation and winners given trophies and medals. Techvarch is a contest held every year with programming contest and error finding competition. It also involves robotic war.
Yes for SC candidate the study is overall free of cost and with scholarship amount of 6600 per annum in account. This scholarship i have availed and every year the forms on the website of upscholarship.nic.in are available where you have to submit the details of education and personal information. There is no scholarship on the knowledge basis. Loans for needed ones are available but the have to submit his bonafied to the bank which will be provided from college.
The campus life is good enough with friends but i feel lack of various facilities. The ratio of male to female is very high as to every 100 males their are on only 5 females. The various activities i enjoyed the most are techfest events and games. The labs are very good and have various typical machines like synchronous motors, Lathe, CNC, EDM, die and punch assembly, small pelton wheel turbine, UTM machind, rockwell hardness machine and almost all practicals are available. The college reputation is very low. There is no other discrimination, no sexual, political, or any other. I really liked some extracurricular activities like games etc.
Hostels have a few rooms and in a single room 3 students have to adjust although they took 60k for hostel and mess food. There is no campus wifi but only in hostel after 4 pm wifi can be used. Hostelers are also provided with LAN for surfing the internet and with a speed of 512kbps. The mess food is very poor with no taste at all. Their are PG's available just outside the college and are dhabas with rooms available and nice food. Theses dhabas are Pappu dhaba, chaoudhary dhaba, manoj dhaba etc with such a nice facilities with low rent of 2k per month which includes food.
The alumni was well and good and cooperative to us. There are some seniors who are also in cantact with me and are always ready to help me. Also some are placed in well reputed companies they helped me in prparing for various exams and interviews.
Students are eligible somewhere from 6th semester for placements and there are many companies and startups to join. The best ones are Kronos and Amazon. Full CSE and IT batch gets placed every year. The highest package was 13 LPA by Kronos.
For us, it was pretty early in our 3rd year. InfyTQ was there. Too many companies visits to count, and a huge amount of offers made. I would say that if you are an average student, you will surely get placed in PSIT. Almost 100%. I would like to explore my interests now. I was offered a placement in 3 companies.. Infosys, TCS and Capgemini on campus. This was the most satisfying part of PSIT.
After the completion of the 6th semester, i.e 3rd-year students become eligible for placements which starts taking place in the 7th semester. Placement drive is conducted and coordinated by the CRPC department which has tied up with many recruiters like Capgemini, Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS are our major recruiters offering packages around 4-9 LPA. Some of our elite recruiters are Adobe, Amazon, Kronos offering lucrative packages greater than 9 LPA. The highest CTC given students of our college stands at 27.4 lacs and average is 5 lacs. IT branch bags the highest number of offers and also highest CTC because of its excellent faculty. 370 companies and 1637 offers were made according to official data with 90 % of students getting placed. My plans after getting the degree are to work as a software engineer at a good MNC.
From the 7th semester students become eligible for placements Many companies like tcs wipro hcl amazon visit this college Tcs is a mass recruiter Average placement is around 4 lakh per annum The highest package was around 18 lakh last year Placements are quite good in CSE AND IT branch Almost everyone is placed in this branch But it is very bad in civil and mechanical branch
There are a lot of companies that visited the campus for placement either it is related to your core or to IT sectors like Wipro ,TCS , byju's , samsung , micromax ,hexaware etc .There is a very high percentage of students getting placement like more than 75 % of people in E.C.E branch got placed this year on a highly motivating package. The highest is 75 lakh per annum and the average being 3.6 lakh per annum. The students became eligible for placement at the starting of their fourth year and gets placed till the mid sem. My plans after getting the degree are to become a research and developer for ISRO or DRDO and work for the nation...
After the 6th semesters, we are eligible to sit in placements. Placements include simple process, aptitude, GD, interview. Since I'm not yet eligible for placements I don't have any experience. But according to stats every year 80-90% of students are placed in good organizations with decent packages. Companies like Infosys, Jaro, Myntra are partnering with the college in order to provide more and more opportunities to the student. The highest and lowest packages observed yet are 21 LPA and 4 LPA. My plan is also the same, I'll try to grab a good placement by on-campus placements.
College provides 100% placement. Even though in the tough time of pandemic college provides 100% placement to the students. The benefit is that students can attend the interview in any college affiliated with AKTU for placement. The average package is around 12LPA.
As the first batch will pass out in 2021, students are eligible to sit in placements in the 4th year. I think 7 to 8 companies visited the college for the placement in which some famous companies are HCL, WIPRO. The highest package is around 5 lakhs and the average is 2 to 2.50 lakhs. I will sit in the college placements.
The candidates who are interested in getting admission in this institution in B.tech program must have 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized Indian Board with at least 50 percent marks. The students will be given admission on the basis of entrance exam JEE MAIN.
The college focuses on plasing the students in the best companies and for the purpose they arrange on campus placements for their students. Various well known companies like Samsung, Microsoft, Micromax, amitech visit and recruit the students.
I applied for the college based on the UPSEE score. UPSEE is a state level entrance examination for engineering admission in Uttar Pradesh. I also set for the JEE main examination however my score was not good in that so I applied through the state level engineering examination score. in case one has given the JEE mains examination and score good marks then he can directly take admission in the institute without going for the the UPSEE exam. I opted for the college because it is one of the popular College in Kanpur .
Placement rate of our college is nice. Good number of companies visit each year for campus placement. Majority of the student get placement however if you ask about satisfactory placement than I can say that around 60% students get satisfactory job roles and packages. In case one doesn't like the on campus placement offer there are good opportunities through off campus placement. Many of our seniors got off campus offer better than there on campus ones. in terms of internship I can say that you are on your own as college doesn't provide any internship.
