IMT has been a brand for over 2 decades and IMT Hyderabad is the newest campus as well. The brand, the placement scenarios, and the culture and city made me choose IMT. Admissions happen from CAT, CMAT, XAT entrance examinations. In Hyderabad, a college that is cost-effective and based on ROI above average would be IMT. The intake is of 210 students including finance and marketing.
The Campus provides an average placement of around 7LPA for Marketing and Finance specializations. Recently companies looking for operations and analytics platforms have also been visiting the college. The highest package offered this year was 17.33 lacs in Amazon. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Hexaware, Wipro, PWC visit college every year. The roles are good and at managerial positions.
The hostel facility is included into the fees and is a compulsion for everyone to opt for it. They provide Single Occupancy for both boys and girls. there are separate hostels for girls and boys as well. The mess provides 4 times food and the variety is of both veg band non veg food available. As students from across India visit the college, they ensure that the food is also meant for all of them.
The college has a lot of small and big events happening around. The cultural club ensures that the festivals are celebrated and the social life is really good. A saying goes, "IMT Never Sleeps". This statement is true and it is a happening place in the middle of the jungle. The library has lot of books and a wide variety as well. The classrooms has well equipped and the infrastructure matches the one of the red bricks of IIM Bangalore. the major event-IMPLEZ is the college fest and the college students also participate in other colleges. Sports ground for football, basketball and badminton is available.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
I have specialized in Marketing. The college offers good marketing resources and the faculty is also amazing. Nitin Sir has been the head of marketing and has been an amazing mentor. the student to faculty ratio is 1:60 in the first year and changes in the second year based on the specialization.
The college provides 16 weeks of compulsory internship and the companies visit the college for the same. Companies like Amazon, ITC, Google visits college for internships and provide stipend and in some case Pre-placement offers as well. The projects provided are mentored by one faculty per student from the campus as well and helps in improving all the time.
Yes. They conduct a Group Exercise and Personal Interview for the final selection in the college. Basic questions are asked judging the interest of the students. This process is followed for all the branches of IMT across India. the Cut off is also above 80 for CAT and XAT and 90 above for CMAT. The group exercise would have certain activities showing the leadership qualities of the aspirant.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
The fees are relatively low compared to other colleges and are inclusive of hostel and food facilities. A scholarship program also exists and is given to students with exceptionally good academic records. The fees is expected to hike and become 1400000 for the entire program for the coming years.
