This college helps students to opt for distance education. Students can focus on their jobs or competitive examinations! It has disadvantages as well! Colleges don't allow students to regular classes. If uh want a career in the subject u are graduating should think of taking admission in an opening learning university.
I have an interest in English subject and I can do well with it, It is an open learning university for all students to get the advantage of time. University provides students study materials in online and offline mode as per students choices, classes are not regularly, ending of every semester exams held, students can choose the exam center as per their convince. Passing the examination depends on the student's preparation.
Here we get no campus placement. Students can prepare for off-campus placement with extra skills Most students of open learning universities either prepare for competitive exams or do jobs.
In comparison to other colleges, the fee structure is low. The university doesn't guarantee placement, but yes! The degree is as valuable as other colleges.
Campus depends on the regional center students choose. No social groups, no events nothing, here students get no opportunity of showing their extra curriculum talents!
Admission depends on students' 12th marks or further degrees. All you have to do is fill an application and then after for admission process submit all the documents, finally pay the admission fees and get admission

Reputation if the university and more opportunities
I did not know much about campus placements because I am a fresher here. But as I know that past placement records are quite good enough. Many companies visit our campus every year and many students got very good placements at decent posts and ranks. My plan is to get a good placement at campus if I get, if not then I will go for SSC jobs.
The Placement Cell of the college is very active. Companies like WIPRO, CVENT, PWC have visited the campus for mass recruitment. The highest package offered was around 3-4 lakhs per annum and the lowest being 1-2 lakhs per annum. Around 50% of students get placed. Internship programs are also provided and the college also has an entrepreneur cell (ENACTUS MAITREYI) for emerging entrepreneurs and to support their entrepreneur projects.
The placements are average for most of the courses. Most of the students go for higher education from here rather than taking a job. There is a placement cell in the college that provide various opportunities for jobs and internships.
Fifth semester onwards, the students become eligible to apply for placements. eY, KPMG, TresVista, etc. (around 10-12 companies) visit on regular basis. They offer an annual package of 4L. The packages offered are not very handsome because DCAC doesn't have postgraduation courses. Most of the students opt for further higher studies rather than taking up jobs. The placement record is good though. Around 80% of students get placed. I have planned to prepare for Civil Services after getting my degree. Going for MBA, CA, CS, Acturials, LLB, MCom, MA, UPSC preparation, foreign universities, etc. are the most common plans of students of DCAC if they choose not to go for campus placement.
Final year students were eligible to get placements, fewer companies use to visit, I only saw Wipro, offering salary packages of 3 lacs rupees, my plans were very different as it wasn't related to college placements.
From semester 4, students become eligible for campus placement. Several reputable companies have to tie up with SGND Khalsa College. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, etc. In 2019, more than 70% of the students get a job through campus placement. I am an English Hons graduate, so became a Content Writer.
The college enviornment force me to opt this as per other college i like most of the thing in this college and the rules and regulation are there, strictness for studies, the college is nearby my house also, and i choose this coarse as i love to read books and novels and stories very much and i want to know more about this and i want to learn more to improve my english
Yes there were many placements held but i dont know much about this as its my first year only so i dont know
It is a very elitist college. You will have to find your own space. A very competitive college. As a fresher you will feel very uncomfortable in the starting, but you will find your space sometimes later. If you want to grow, this college will help you, but for that you will have to participate. Also being a girls college, this college will empower you!
