This is one of the 9 colleges in West Bengal which are fully government-funded. I have taken admission in this college for exactly this reason. As it is a government college the fee is very less compared to other private colleges available in West Bengal. In computer science the fee is 6000/- per semester, for core branches, it is 3000/- only. Side by side the faculties are also well qualified. The environment is very good also. You'll love it once you'll go there.
We have a total of 8 professors and 3 lab assistants in the computer science department. There are 75 students, so roughly the student and faculty ratio is 10:1. Also, there is a mentorship facility in this college in every department. There are 2 groups of 5 students each, who are being mentored by a professor. So you'll experience the project works and overall study very well. There are 2 internal exams and a final semester exam in each semester. You don't have to worry about passing those exams as long as you are attending classes and studying regularly. You don't have to study all day, there is also cricket, football, volleyball, badminton play grounds there. You can play these games with your seniors and classmates as well. Most of the students play at least one of these games in the evening after all the classes have finished.
Most of the professors send their students in NITs for their summer or winter internships. Though it's not for every student, maybe the top 5 or top 10 students will get this opportunity.
As it is a new college, the on-campus placement facility is not so good. The other reason for this is the college is far away from metropolitan city Kolkata. But you will find a lot of off-campus placement opportunities there, you can also go for higher education after finishing your B.Tech from this College.
For computer science, electronics departments you have to pay 6000/- per sem and for all other departments, you have to pay 3000/- per sem according to MAKAUT. There is also financial aid available. If you're eligible for this, you don't have to pay anything for the semester.
The social life is very good for both inside and outside the college. Everyone is very friendly, seniors are very helpful and the professors are very frank here. So you don't have to worry about ragging and that kind of negative thoughts. There are so many clubs or committees are there. The most famous is coding club and spoken English club. There are also clubs related to games such as cricket club, football club, badminton club and many more.
There are hostels available for 2nd, 3rd and 4th-year students. The environment is good inside every hostel. The food quality is good. There is sufficient drinking water there. If you don't want to stay in a hostel, then there is also PG or paying guest facilities available there. You can get a well-furnished and clean room with attached bathroom for 6000/- per month. The food is including here and you have to share your room with one more student just like you.
There is no group discussion, interview or written test there. You will get the chance to take admission in this college only according to your West Bengal joint entrance examination rank.
Just starting of 4th year onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Many top companies like TCS, CTS, Medtree, Infosys, etc visit our college. More than 95% of students get placed from CSE and the IT department.
From the 3rd year,6th semester the students are eligible for the placements. There are many companies visited in our college .like Amazon, Microsoft etc. The highest package of the previous year of our college is 16 lakh p.a and the average package is 4.5 LPA.

Placements are the most fascinating thing about our college. It looks out for its students to get the best placements for them. If you study well you can easily grab a nice placement and boast about it to everyone. Almost around 80% of the students get placed. In the department of CSE and IT, almost everyone gets placed by the end of the final year. After getting the degree I will opt for campus placement and will surely get it.
Placements start from the 7th semester. Many MNC's namely Wipro, Mindtree, Capgemini, Protiviti etc come for recruitment. The highest package this year was 5 Lac per annum. 95% of students from the CSE department are placed. The training and placement cell is very active and also provides training from 3rd year for campus placements.
Students become eligible for placements from the sixth semester. Name of companies visited are- TCS, Cognizant, LTI, Dxc., DTDC, Byju's , Amazon, etc. visited our college & recruited a considerable number of students. Highest average package as per company & profiles offered- highest package-10-8lpa, profiles offered- Percentage of students getting placed- varies between 75 to 80% of the total number of students of the college gets placed every year. My plans after getting the degree are to crack the competitive exam GATE & do my Mtech.
Infrastructure is very poor, lab equipments are defective, no ground, no auditorium. Bad sewage system, water gathers whenever it rains. Bathrooms are really small, there is not even a single water-cooler in the whole campus, and the way to college is in very very bad condition.
