MY LIFE IN MVGR
REMARKS
It is a very good college for hard-working students. The college is facilitated with Central library, 2 cricket grounds, basketball coat, volleyball coat, separate departments with own badminton court inside the department. The departments are provided with good infrastructure and labs, especially mechanical and civil labs are very good. The infrastructure of the civil department is one of the best when compared to other departments. The labs are provided with full of equipment which is too costly so that students can gain better knowledge practically. The faculty is good at the subjects and shares their knowledge with the student's incomplete manner. The rules are strict and no mobile usage inside the department. The admission process is as simple as the other things because there are so many volunteers to help us during the admission process. The college is provided with nearly 40 buses for student transport. There is good encouragement in extra circular activities.
PLACEMENT WING
From 4-1 student are eligible for campus placements. There are so many companies visited in my last year of BTech. But for civil the campus placements are less. Only a few companies come and I participated well up to the last round but not selected. Later a non-core company has visited and selected with 2.4 LPA. Software and marketing placements are high in college. Maximum civil students prefer government jobs so that only fewer students get into placements. My present plan is to crack SSC JE CIVIL.
CAMPUS LIFE
The college infrastructure is very good. The best part of the college is the infrastructure and fests. On March 3, every year annual day is celebrated with good extra circular activities, dance, singing, and other several performances. National wide tech fest is celebrated rarely and there are so many events such as mokdhagundam vishweshwarayyah birth anniversary, ARC DAY, etc. There are so many books with journals, newspapers, and the digital zone where we can learn from the internet. The classroom is free and having good ventilation. Fans, lights benches, boards are in good condition. There is a facility for ppt presentations in the classroom. Sports and extracurricular activities are good in the college. There are so many groups running by the students which are helpful for the poor. The college is good in NSS and NCC.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
MVGR have the better civil infrastructure and lab facilities, so I selected this course. The faculties are well knowledged and share their entire subject to the students in a proper manner. The faculty are minimum graduated with Mtech and some are completed their Masters in abroad. Some faculty are doing their Ph.D. in IITs. The teaching method is very good, the student will not face the pressure. The faculty are free at any time to clarify the doubts for students. Yearly 2 sems. For a particular sem, there are 2 mids, an average of 2 mids are calculated as internal. External at the end of the semester. As the college is autonomous, the question paper is prepared by the college but it's too difficult to pass the exam. There is a severe punishment for malfunctioning.
INTERNSHIPS OPPORTUNITIES
There are several companies offering internships for the students and some of them have gone for their internships. But for a better opportunity, it is advisable to search for a good company for an internship on our own. The projects selected by the students are very good. They select the projects under the guidance of their project guide. They always try to create new things and give good output to society.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
During my enrollment, the fee structure is 88350. There is a scholarship of 35000 given by the government for the BC SC ST and EBC students. Yearly there is an increase of nearly 5k of fees. Present the fees is 1.05 lakhs per year. There will be extra fees for transport and hostel facilities. Boys hostel fees: 72000 Girls hostel fees: 60000 Transport fees changes with the area. I got selected in FACE with the package of 2.4 LPA.
