    Its the best college in kolkata with not many substitutes, Brand Name of being a Xavierian was also an important factor, St. Xaviers is considered to be the best amongst all colleges for the B.com course, The opportunities that St. Xaviers provides besides studying

    PLACEMENT WING

    Placement cell of our college is good but also lacking. Various companies visit for placements however the quantity of the companies actually offering a good package and an even better experience is less thereby not a lot of students get a chance. However many companies do come for placements.

  • COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW

    Syllabus was quite updated and the college has also brought new subjects into our curriculum. However the new subjects are not as well developed as it should be. But in few years time, I think the college will make it at par. However the faculties are a mixed area. There are some really good teachers whereas some not so good. Academics on an overall basis is good.

    St. Xaviers is a very lively college. Various events keeps on happening the entire area. A student taking part in these events would never get bored. And these events also provide a lot of experience in various areas along with a chance of CV building.

Exams are held 2times a year once every semester college holds an internal exam of 20 marks every semester n 10/20 is for attendance

S.D.Jain is one of the most renowned colleges in gujarat and ensures its students a bright and promising future. Moreover the college is not very strict with attendance which enables me to persue a professional course alongside.

The placements of the college are below average, only the local companies visit the college campus to recruit students. Although the college provides internships to its students during the summer and winter break.

The campus life in our college is quite good, there are more girls in the college as compared to boys and the college takes keen interest in competitions like singing, dancing, quiz as well as there are debate competition which takes place in the common room of our college, the extracurricular activities in the college is not so good because the college doesn't have their own playground for sports

Remarks -

It is mandatory to maintain 75% attendance otherwise a warning letter is being given to all. Students doing other course like CA, CFA , CMA, CS, MBA , Actuaries , banking may not be able to come to collage daily due to their schedule.

Good college with focus on academics and attendance

Remarks -

The management is done very well, but I feel the faculty is too rigid and strict. Students should be encouraged to experiment more and question more. The college does not give the student a sense of freedom, but on the other hand, you will be surrounded by very good students and there will be a lot of healthy competition and goal oriented people around you, which can help you become more focused and spurn you on to better things.
