REMARKS
I chose to study IT at Manipal University Jaipur. I was getting Dual degree courses at BITS, CSE at VIT Vellore and SRM Chennai, EEE at MIT Manipal, IT at Manipal Jaipur and few lower colleges through the COMEDK exam. I chose IT at Manipal University Jaipur because I always wanted to pursue CS/IT as I had a passion for coding. I also chose Manipal over VIT/SRM because it has better reputation and placements. Also, the batch size at Manipal Jaipur for CSE is only 200 as compared to VIT wherein they have around 1800-2000 seats in the Vellore campus alone. The average package of Manipal Jaipur is 6.2 lpa which is higher than VIT Vellore and SRM Chennai too. The college infrastructure is amazing and our hostel rooms are no less than a 5 star hotel. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Paypal visit our college every year.
PLACEMENT WING
Placements for branches like CSE/IT are really good and lots of good companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Paypal, Directi come to the college every year. The average package for B.Tech stands at 6.2 lpa and for CS/IT branches its higher. To give an honest opinion, I would advice one to opt for Manipal University Jaipur only if he/she is getting any of the computer related branches (CS/IT/CCE). For other branches it is not worth the money that you spend in. Alumni network is not that good as it is a relatively new college but its growing. We have Atal Incubation Centre and the college encourages students to have their own startup. One of the most popular startup from our college is Piltover Technologies. Quite a lot of students go for higher studies after completing their studies from MUJ.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
The hostel is literally like a 5 star hotel. There are three types of rooms available - Single Room, Double Room and Single-premium Room (that comes with a sofa). All the rooms have central heating and cooling system and attached toilets. Hot water is available 24*7 hours. The mess food is better than average. Non-Veg is offered 4 times a week. Apart from that we have Dominos, Cafe Coffee Day and many other big and small food outlets and stationary shops.
CAMPUS LIFE
In the campus infrastructure part, Manipal University Jaipur surely tops the list. The college was opened in 2011 and therefore it is relatively new and has a great infrastructure. All the classrooms and labs are fully air-conditioned and equipped with smartboards. Wi-Fi is present everywhere in the campus. The library is kind of average and has mostly books related to academics. Labs are in awesome condition with new equipment. The only point disappointing fact is that the campus is only 100 acres. We also have a gym and swimming pool facility with four Jacuzzi's. The gym is probably the biggest gym in entire Rajasthan.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
Our curriculum was recently updated. It is quite good as compared to most of the colleges. Also this year our college got A+ accreditation by NAAC, the second college in India to achieve this feat. Almost all the faculties have done their PhDs and most of them are good and genuinely care about the welfare of students.
COLLEGE EVENTS
The campus life at Manipal is surely one of the best anyone can get in India. There are a lot of extracurricular activities going on and one will never get bored. There are approximately 76 clubs that cover all the different areas one can think of. Annually we have our cultural fest Oneiros, the technical fest Techideate, and the sports fest Abhivarta. Oneiros is really a big fest and attracts people from entire Rajasthan.
