Because, it helps me to follow my passion and at the same time, getting myself a graduate degree too so I think someone who wants a degree just to rank up to their resume and have interest in something different should definitely check this one.
Faculty is soo good here even the teachers are so helpful. They'll guide you and try to give the best solution for your problem. Must have if you're looking for a good college with amazing faculty staff and environment.
Final year or Sixth Semester students are eligible for the placements that are conducted by SOL at the end of the year but you've to register for it manually, your profile doesn't get automatically registered to any of the placement drives.
No, actually they didn't have any categorised hike fess policy because it's a government institute and people from every income group can come and take their admission in these courses. Must have if you're looking for something and doesn't have much budget.
There are actually no annual fests that happen in SOL so that might be a thing which will disappoint you but as I said before it helps you to follow the passion as well so you're getting a plus point there.
I did not know much about campus placements because I am a fresher here. But as I know that past placement records are quite good enough. Many companies visit our campus every year and many students got very good placements at decent posts and ranks. My plan is to get a good placement at campus if I get, if not then I will go for SSC jobs.
The Placement Cell of the college is very active. Companies like WIPRO, CVENT, PWC have visited the campus for mass recruitment. The highest package offered was around 3-4 lakhs per annum and the lowest being 1-2 lakhs per annum. Around 50% of students get placed. Internship programs are also provided and the college also has an entrepreneur cell (ENACTUS MAITREYI) for emerging entrepreneurs and to support their entrepreneur projects.
Fifth semester onwards, the students become eligible to apply for placements. eY, KPMG, TresVista, etc. (around 10-12 companies) visit on regular basis. They offer an annual package of 4L. The packages offered are not very handsome because DCAC doesn't have postgraduation courses. Most of the students opt for further higher studies rather than taking up jobs. The placement record is good though. Around 80% of students get placed. I have planned to prepare for Civil Services after getting my degree. Going for MBA, CA, CS, Acturials, LLB, MCom, MA, UPSC preparation, foreign universities, etc. are the most common plans of students of DCAC if they choose not to go for campus placement.
From semester 4, students become eligible for campus placement. Several reputable companies have to tie up with SGND Khalsa College. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, etc. In 2019, more than 70% of the students get a job through campus placement. I am an English Hons graduate, so became a Content Writer.

It is a very elitist college. You will have to find your own space. A very competitive college. As a fresher you will feel very uncomfortable in the starting, but you will find your space sometimes later. If you want to grow, this college will help you, but for that you will have to participate. Also being a girls college, this college will empower you!
IAAN management is very helpful. They will provide guidance and help you in every small way possible. They are very cooperating and if you ever feel like you need help then you can go to the MD and be rest assured that he will listen and will help you in the best way possible.
