Best college in my neighborhood. Neat and clean with lots of facilities. Pleasant Environment, extremely talented professor, I originally wanted to get admission in another Calcutta university affiliated college But ended up getting admission here, but I am happy with my decision. This is a prestigious college. Looking forward to starting studying here.
I chose this course because I am from a science background, I thought about choosing Botany or zoology honors but their Job possibilities are limited, but by doing English honors I can opt-out for various job opportunities, and my main focus is UPSC, and English honors are very suitable for competitive exams
As I said In the last review, I am so new in this college that I literally do not know anything. But about the placement of our college, there is none, like literally none, there is no placement policy or support. But I am totally okay with it as I am preparing for UPSC
Fees structure is fairly affordable for middle-class families, but I belong to the lower middle class so I was a little high for me, but after seeing the college advantages and faculties, I am very much satisfied, I don't regret spending my money
Frankly speaking, I haven't gotten a chance to meet with my classmates, see the library with my own eyes, or anything regarding this, I had been to some classrooms and that's it. The website of Kalyani Mahavidyalaya is very decent with the appropriate amount of information and very easy to handle
I'm not not sure about the placement but I do remember during my admission I had to fill one form where I was been asked whether I'll opt for job or study further, it was kind of a placement registration. Though my college have a good placement cell where 35 to 40 companies visit including the likes of TCS, Ernst & Young, PWC, Deloitte, Oracle, Axis Bank, KPMG, Indigo to name a few. People like me with theoretical background have to work harder to get placed into such companies as this time it's about skills you possess not only the degree you carry.
From the 5th Semester, students will be eligible for campus placements. Till now we got three Campus Recruitments by Wipro, Amazon, and Capgemini. There are other placements too. One might consult the In-campus Career Counsellor for suitable jobs in the future. Moreover, the professors were always ready to help us giving the leads of other job placements as well.
On average, 60% of the students got placements in the college. The highest salary offered was Rs. 30,000, the lowest was Rs. 8,000 per month and the average was Rs. 12,000. The mechanic, accountants, assistant manager, etc., were the roles offered to students in the college. About 45% of the students got internships from the college with a minimum of Rs. 5,000 to a maximum of Rs. 10,000 stipend during the internship. There is a placement cell in the college, it is much efficient and useful for students.
Infrastructure is well developed, study material is so energetic, teacher provides valuable guidance, feedback, hospitality facilities is extremely good. Proper hostel facilities, library and many more
Students are verified through their personality test, various tasks, written exam and many more things, Gd process is different from other universities and extremely fair and not partial
The students become eligible for placements in their third year of the undergraduate program. Companies like Zomato, Itc, Cognizant have conducted placement drives in the college. Salaries range from 1 to 3 lakhs per annum. A dedicated placement cell is in place for conducting the placements.
