IIM Raipur was founded in 2010. It ranks 19th as per B-school 2020 NIRF rankings. In a short span of time, IIM Raipur has established its place among the country's top B-schools. This year the batch strength has increased to 263. Its flagship program is Post Graduate Program in Management. It has moved to its beautiful campus in 2018. IIM Raipur is part of the Common Admission Process(CAP). The admission process follows two stages, shortlisting the students followed by WAT and PI.
The PGP extends over a period of two years involving six trimesters with a summer internship at a prestigious organization. The program is carefully designed keeping in view the changing needs of the global business scenario. During the first year, students are exposed to basic concepts in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Quantitative Methods, Operations, Strategy, etc. They lay the foundations for all the functional areas of management and help the students develop an intrinsic understanding of the different facets involved. In the second year, students choose from a range of electives of their interest. The subjects offered at present are finance, Operations, Marketing, Human Resource, Strategy, and General Management.
Everyone gets placed for a summer internship. And also, there is a provision to opt for an off-campus internship if anyone wants. The highest stipend offered for the batch 2019-2021 was Rs3,91,000/-, average stipend offered was Rs 88,139/-
The placement cell works hard to ensure the whole batch gets placed. No. of recruiters for the batch 2018-2020 was 150+ with 50+ first time recruiters, offering coveted roles in Sales and Marketing, Financial Management, Operations and IT, Analytics, and Consulting. Highest CTC offered was Rs 46.00 LPA, the average CTC was 15.20 LPA, median CTC was Rs14.78 LPA. The offers are spread out across diverse sectors.
The total fees for the PGP program including accommodation and food are Rs 1420400. IIM Raipur offers scholarships to SC/ST students. For ST students. The institute has made an arrangement with banks to provide loans for all students to finance their educational expense
IIM Raipur has a total of 9 committees, 6 academic clubs, and 7 activity clubs that students can get into. Students who make it to the clubs and committees get more exposure to the activities and get to make a lot of contacts. The meesta and discussions that take place before organizing any event is full of fun, The annual fest is Karmaanta which is held every year
It has five hostels which provide the best possible facilities to the students. The college has other facilities like a gym, sports, etc. And it is mandatory for every student to stay in the hostel. Though, this year due to coid-19, we had to spend our first year at home. And we are hoping to be called to campus soon.

In MBA PROGRAM THE ADMISSION IS BASED ON CMAT SCORE. After that, the merit list is opened and on that basis, the admission is being conducted and some more criteria are NCC and Sports and there is the reservation for the students who are doing ug and pg in same college or courses.
Admission to the college is on a merit basis. I gave the entrance exam. Students have to apply to the college and appear for the counseling and document verification process. Management was pretty accommodating throughout the process.
Placements were not so good in our college and almost 60% of our batch got placed. We received enough assistance from the placement cell. Some good companies do visit our campus for the placement drive but the packages offered were not that good. Some of my batchmates were offered 20,000 per month.
I appeared for the entrance exam organised by the University itself. The entrance exam was very tricky and had questions from various topics. On the basis of entrance scores and academic record of the applicants, a merit list is prepared and shortlisted students are invited for the counselling round.
Around 70% of the students got placed during my batch. We had a dedicated placement cell which took care of maintaining tie-ups with the big media firms. Though the packages offered were not as good as one would expect after an MBA degree.
