Rohit's Review On Indian Institute Of Management - [IIMJ], Jammu
Remarks :
Better than any other Baby IIMs. The admission process is smooth as it happened through CAP. Location advantage and great future prospects. I have contacted seniors and then decided to take admission. Current scenario- Despite the slowdown in the economy almost half of the batch is placed whether it's summers or finals and also they have further plans. Campus don't have many resources but they are planning to take place on rent to accommodate the huge batch size.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is very rigorous. Visiting Faculties are excellent, permanent faculties are decent having mixture of experience and freshers. Most of the faculties are PHD holders from prime institutes and universities.
Internships Opportunities :
There is a mixture of brands and startups. The stipend varies from 0 to 2,00,000/- having avg of 40-50k. Some good roles were offered to the students. We are still struggling to place the whole batch but looking at the current scenario we can expect a positive turnaround in future
Placement Experience :
The pandemic brings a very tough time for the Institute. The senior batch size is 97 out of which almost 30-40 students are placed till now. For summers 100-110 students are placed till now. Place comm is working on this and I hope their hard work pays off.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total fees for our batch is 1380000/- They have scholarships for Reserved category students ( central Government Scholarship ). Also, they provide financial assistance based on merit if you follow certain criteria.
Campus Life :
Due to Covid, we are not able to attend classes on campus. We are still at our home. They are trying to call more students on campus but due to certain restrictions from the J&K govt. They are not able to do so.
Hostel Facilities :
Triple and double sharing rooms for boys, Double sharing rooms for girls with common washroom. The quality of food in the mess is good and the menu is made by the mess committee which is student-centric. The infrastructure is decent.
Interview Experience :
CAP round - Firstly there was WAT followed by document verification and Personal Interview. My topic in WAT was 'Demonetization' and in PI they asked general questions like introduction, work ex, graduation degree concepts, etc.

Placement Experience :
1st-year students are eligible for summer internship programs and next year they can sit for the final placement drive also. The highest package of 20 LPA offered this year. The average package is 10 LPA. 100% placement record.
Placement Experience :
Students need to have a Summer Internship Placement after the 1st year of their MBA and then final placements after the 2nd year of the course i.e. after completion of the course. And placements are decent here. We get top brands as well as start-ups offering high to low stipend and CTC.

The students are eligible for placements from the 5th term. Various companies visit our campus every year for summer and final placements. The highest package was 16 lakh and the lowest of 7 lakh. 100% of students are placed every year.

Decent placement, Marketing based companies are more. Highest- 36 LPA. Lowest- 6 LPA. Brands- ICICI HCL Byjus Techvantage etc. 98% of students placed. My plans- getting into a brand management role or market research role.

Campus placements are great. Almost 100% of the students get placed. Companies like Diageo, Paytm, Kotak, HCL, Vedantu come for recruitment. Students give their best. There are Live Projects also for industry engagement.

For summer and final placement process start from the month of September. These time100+ companies have visited our campus for placements. 100% of students get placed. Avg package for placements is more than 10 lakh per annum.

The placements are good. Last year, the average package was more than 10 lakhs per year and this year also it's going good. Major of the batch is placed and the highest package till now is 35 lakhs per year.

Last year the average placements for the finals were more than 10 lps. and for summers it was around 44k. The major companies to recruit were, deloite, diagiao, HCL, etc. The college secured almost 100% placements.

The institute has a 100% placement rate. IIM Jammu's average package for the year 2020 stood at INR 10.64 LPA whereas the highest salary package stood at INR 24.5 LPA. The institute saw participation from various companies like Deloitte, Tata Power, Ramm Group, Tech Mahindra, and many more.

There are various top firms visiting campus like TATA, Deloitte, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Tech Mahindra, HCL, Collegedunia, Paytm, L&T, Kotak Mahindra, DelMonte, and many more. The highest package for summers was 2 lakhs and for finals around 70 lakhs.
