IIM Indore is a brilliant choice for students who want to boost their CV and kickstart their careers with big companies. The institute is full of pros with hardly any cons. It offers a vivid range of facilities and facilitates the humungous growth of students. The B-school is better than any other college for me as there is a proper balance of studies and other things. This enhances and shapes the mental outlook of a student and it aided me in my overall development too. So, if you are offered this IIM, you must definitely grab it.
PGP at IIM-Indore is the most demanded program and I had my mind on the same. also, with the excellent teaching staff, it makes no sense to look back on other courses. The faculty at IIM-Indore is so generous, helpful, and experienced that it makes difficult concepts look easier. Their way of teaching gets students participating and interacting with the professors. The faculty-student ratio at the institute is 1:15 that means for every 15 students, there is one professor. The professors arrange guest lecturers to get an insight about industries and fields. The program is divided into 6 terms. These examinations are difficult but with the study material, it becomes easier.
The internships are compulsory at IIM-Indore that are to be taken up by the students in the Summer (end of the first year). These internships provide practical experience and knowledge about the companies as well.
The placement opportunities at the B-school are tremendous. The institute raises the bar of placement packages every year. In my batch of 2018-20, a massive number of 578 students got passed out and around 100% placement record was on the mark. Over 160 recruiting companies visited the institute with top-class packages offered to students (the highest being INR 50 Lakh packages). The average CTC package at IIM-Indore was recorded at Rs. 22.92 LPA. With Sales & Marketing and Consulting being the most recruited sector, the major recruiting companies include Asian Paints, Flipkart, Capgemini, HDFC Bank, HeroMotocorp, Godrej, PepsiCo, Panasonic, ITC, Intel, Insosys, Vistara, TechMahindra, Vodafone, etc.
For the batch 2018-20, the two-year total fees excluding the hostel charges, insurance, taxes, etc. were INR 16,00,000. The students from abroad were required to pay INR 24,00,000 for the same. As compared to other IIMs the fees are well-drafted, and to provide quality education to every student irrespective of their background, the institute also offers scholarships. These grants are provided on the basis of the student's family income. The Need-Based Financial Assistance scholarship scheme is provided aimed at 100% fee compensation.
The annual fest the IIM celebrates every year is 'Atharv' that includes events & activities of several domains like dance, music, literary arts, performing arts, etc. I had a blast in the fest for 2 years where I witnessed various celebrities having fun and gracing the IIM stage. The institute is amazing with top-class facilities being provided such as a sound library, labs, huge auditorium, labs, sports facilities, hostel, etc. The clubs & committees at IIM-Indore are also very hardworking which organizes events for breaking the monotony for the students.
Hostels are very spacious and there are strict discipline rules maintained in the hostel. Though the hostel authorities are very helpful and are active 24*7. The hostel mates are also kind and fun-loving that get involved in every activity conducted in the hostel. The hostel food is one of the things that I still miss the most. The taste of Indian aromas is very delightful. Talking about the hygiene factor, the hostel maintains cleanliness in every aspect.
The PI round at the institute for admission process was worth-experiencing which gives an idea about professional interviews. The panelists were highly acknowledged faces of the business world. They started with my introduction and then proceeded to the business questions about commerce, NGOs & social responsibility, lights used in rooms, PGT theorem, etc. The interviewers were very courteous and asked me the questions in a very polite tone. The main thing in the interview round is to be calm and confident. The answers can be wrong but speak whatever you think.
Students get opportunities in 2nd semester for various summer internships. There were many companies visited with paid and unpaid offers. Some of them are ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Swastika Financial Services etc. Packages offered rages from 1.5 LPA - 5 LPA. Depending upon the profiles offered. Every student gets a chance to sit in multiple placement opportunities. My plan was to get placed work for 2 years and open my startup.
Placement is 70-30 . In masters, 3 sem, the students are eligible for internships and jobs, which the college provides to every student. Every year number of media hubs visit the college to select the students appropriate for their jobs. I always wanted to be a Public Relations Officer, which I will be specialised in second year of the course. I can opt for a specialised subject in 3 year.
IIM Indore has secured 100% placements records where the highest CTC was recorded at INR 50 LPA and the average CTC was recorded at INR 22.9 LPA. Maximum CTC was offered by Amazon for the roles of OPs, category and program. A majority of the students were placed under the sales & marketing, and consulting sectors in companies like ACG, ACT, Accenture, Dabur, FIITJEE, and others.
The placement is really good. Generally, From the 3rd semester's students become eligible for campus placements. Various good companies like Asian paints, ICICI bank, Axis bank, XL Dynamics, Moira sariya, Byju's, Jaro education and many more visited till now. The average package is approximate 4 lakhs.
Like there is nothing bad, but sometimes it depends which situation in you are. Well our college atmosphere is quite good for technical studies. Sometimes buses get late for departure due to waiting for other otherwise it will be on time.
Placment and job opportunities were good in every 2 day there is a campus drive for final year student some of them are top MNCs and some of them are marketing with average package of 3 lakhs per annum. And our college does not provide any internship. We go for outside to do this for 15 days to 45 days
They are good but not good with placements and Industrial training
Our college provides good carrier exposure to the students and it is giving quality education in such a low fees.
I have a valid score of 76% in the MAT entrance exam. And then, I fill out the application form and then, I was selected for a Group discussion and then based on my score in GD, I was selected for a personal interview.
The college provides placement and internships to the students. The placement opportunities of our college were good, around 80% of the students were placed and companies like Amazon, S&P Capital IQ, Deloitte, etc. visited our college for placement.
