My reason behind choosing this institution is that, they have a great placement record. I wanted to secure my future and this was best I could choose and I'm very happy that I did. To get in, I had to submit an application form at the official website of the college. The application fee that I had to pay for that was ?1900.
I pursed a 2-year program that provided me with a thorough grounding in the functional areas of Management. The rigour of the programme helped me in entering into any stream of management. Also, we have more than 80% of the faculty members who hold a PhD.
After the completion of the first year, we get the opportunity to do summer internships that last for about 6-8 week and apart from that, ones the program comes to an end, a huge placement drive happens in the campus for the final placement. During my time, more than 100 companies our campus to offer us positions in their company. The most prominent recruiters were Bajaj Allianz, Aditya Birla Capital, Deloitte India, Ernst & Young, Amul, Vedanta, HDFC Bank, etc.
For one-year, I had to pay ?525000 and as it was a 2-year program, I had to pay a total amount of ?1050000 which was dived into 6 installments and the cost for hostel was not included in the total amount. It was separately paid by my parents every term.
I studied at the temporary campus of the college, it is functioning in a state of the art building at the Jyoti Vihar, Burla. Although it's not too big but the infrastructure is quite good as it is well equipped with the latest technology and high-speed internet connectivity. The campus has IT enabled classrooms, auditorium, canteen, etc. along with other essential facilities. Some of the clubs of the institute were, Finance Club, Consulting Club, Marketing club, Design and photography Club, Art Club, and more.
There are three well-equipped hostel buildings inside the campus of the institute. I was provided with rooms on a twin-sharing basis and it was properly ventilated and well furnished with a bed, almirah, mattress, study-tables and chairs. We also had a common room a TV and table tennis facilities.
After I passed the first round and got selected in the basis of my CAT score in which I had a score of 78%, I was then informed that I've been selected and the second phase includes a personal interview and a written test in which I'll be writing an essay. The PI went on for about 20 mins and for the WAT, I was given 25 mins to write about something they related to the growing effect of social media. I don't exactly remember it.
