I have a clean interest in technology, that's why I have choosen MCA as my Post graduation. The reason behind choosing this college is because this college belongs to my native place. The college has well-furnished and well-equipped classrooms and a computer lab, Library has a wide range of books. I have got admission through UPSEE counseling on 21 September 2020.
MCA is a professional course that is affiliated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Lucknow. The eligibility criteria for admission in the MCA program are - graduate in any stream with at least 50% marks in aggregate and Mathematics as a core subject at 10+2 level or graduation. The teachers are highly qualified, post-graduate, or have done PhD. They are friendly with the students. Exams are held 2 times a year that is December and May based on odd and even semester.
Placement from Raja Balwant Singh Management technical campus Agra is not that much up to the mark. Mainly startups and small companies approach the college whereas they assist the internship. The highest package got by this college was 4.6 lakh.
The fee of this college is economical. You can't opt for a scholarship. Moreover, you can apply for a Tution fee waiver (TFW). If you clear all the eligibility criteria which are decided by the government. The fee structure of MCA in RBSMTC is Tution fee for MCA students is 37452 per semester, examination fee is 8200 per annum and another miscellaneous fee is 1500 per annum. MCA comprises 4 semesters. You can apply for an education loan easily also.
The college runs so many curricular activities enthusiastically, 2 famous of those are Quifesta and Dharohar. Quifesta - A quiz contest held every year, Dharohar - Cultural fest where students can show their talent. In Library, there is a wide range of books that are available for the students to read.
From the year 2020 MCA became a two-year course if you do not belong to the IT background it becomes hard to manage the MCA course in just two years. The subjects are almost the same as before, but the teachers are helpful and also well qualified. Most of the teachers are using Dr in the prefix of their names, as IET is an autonomous college, its easy to get good marks in your semesters if you study for 3-4 hours in a day.
I chose this course because I wanted to make a career in Computer Science. There is around 1 teacher per 60 students. Faculty are qualified but their teaching methods are quite dated, as you would expect in a government college, and leaving few, all other teachers just aren't qualified to be called 'teachers', yes they have MTech degree but they are really not that interested in teaching. Exams were moderately difficult to pass. There are two CTs in each semester and one-semester exam at the end.
I heard that many companies visit like Reliance, Eureka, policy Bazar, RHDL, IIMS, etc. Here 65% of students get placement according to their skills. The average package offered in this university is INR 3-4LPA My plan after getting the degree is to get a job in a reputed company.
For BTech after 5-6th semester and for MBA mca after the 2nd semester, you are eligible for internships and placements. Several companies visited campus, like Wipro, TCS, Adobe. Last year the Highest package was about 20lpa And average is 3-4 LPA About 50-60% of students are getting placed After getting the degree I will join a technological company.
From 3rd semester students are eligible for campus placements.most of the companies visit each year. past stats os placement is nearly 80%.and my plan after getting a degree to give all the affort in UPSC.No choice to get a job in any company.
There is a high probability of getting a placement in the college from the campus itself. The students become eligible for campus placements from the 3rd semester itself if you are in a 2-year program and in the 5th semester if you are pursuing b.tech. The companies that come for placements are Adobe, Wipro, TATA, India mart, Hero, MatrixCare, etc. There are approx 100 offers made as there are many companies that conduct placement drives on the campus. The highest package offered is 10 lakhs approx and average package is of 5-6 lakhs per year. The profiles offered are software engineer, software developer, web developer, data scientist, data analyst, etc. 90% of the students get placed and get a very good salary package. My plan after getting the degree is to get placed in a multinational company (MNC).
There are lots of opportunities to take and also to learn and enhance my skill. In my department, the ratio between student and faculty is 12:1. Most of the teachers of my faculty have net qualified and also phd holders, the teaching method is quite good. In my course, there are 12 internal exam and 6-semester exams and the question are in the exam are according to the syllabus.
Students of MCA use to appear in placements with the BTech students so the ratio is quite poor. Companies mostly take the more skilled ones. So if a student is as skilled as btech one. They can give tough competition in the placement. My plans are to try for the placement. Otherwise, I will try for the off-campus placement.I heard IETians can get off campus that easily as compared to campus ones.
From the 5th semester, students are eligible for the campus placement. Many companies visit the department and many students got selected in the different companies with the help of their skills which increased by the professor of this university. Approx 85 to 90% of students got selected for placement every year. I have also planned for the job and I will also get placement after my 5th semester. When I talk about the package many companies provide 10 to 15 lakh per annum.
We are living in the technology driven era and having a bachelor degree in computer sciences, I wanted to enhance my knowledge in the field and this became the reason for choosing the Masters of Computer Applications course
