MAIT from the perspective of a fresher.

Remarks :

The faculty was good and possibly the best college for mechanical engineering in IPU. I did expect the campus to be better though. The admission process was based on JEE Entrance exam. I chose this college because of its better learning experience and placements than others I guess. College Dunia did help me to find more information on various colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I've always had an interest in building new things related to automobiles. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:6 I guess. Most of the faculty are postgraduates Exams were held every three months and the level was good.

Placement Experience :

From the 6th semester students are eligible IG. There are a number of companies that come to college for recruitment and a no. of offers are made. The highest package of mechanical is around 20L pa. Average is about 6L A good amount of students get placements. Not there yet.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees of the course are high in comparison with other nontechnical courses but still, it is less as compared to other private colleges. The cost of the study is high. There are a few scholarships too. Financial assistance as given by govt. Is provided, but only for some eligible people, the college does no such help.

Campus Life :

Because of covid, there haven't been any fests so far, not even freshers. But I've heard a few are conducted in a year. All the books are provided in the library and book bank so there's no issue with availability. Not much of extracurricular activities...sports mainly to be honest :). There are a number of interesting societies to join though.

Interview Experience :

The online counseling was held in which allocation was strictly based on the ranking in the entrance paper,i.e. JEE. And a minimum percentage in board exams was also required. 3 rounds were there in which we had to provide the college with a number of documents.

The highest package is 1.25 crore to software engineers and 500000. 100 percent of students get placed in the tech branch and 90 percent of students get placed in core branches. Placement Experience :

The most immaculate thing about this college is its placements. Especially for students from CS and IT background. I can give a surety that if you opt for IT or CS in this college, you would get placed in between two months. You will get to seat in every placement everyday. The max package could go upto 35 LPA and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Shell, google, HCL and lot of big companies would come to hire you.

Remarks :

The fee of our college is affordable for middle class family. Also it is a government college. The placement is also quite good. Faculty of GBPEC is also very good. They are well qualified and supportive. But the campus and infrastructure is not good at all.

Admission :

No, there is no interview or GD for taking admission in GBPEC. Only good JEE marks and 70äóÁ marks in 12th in PCM is enough . First you have to fill the ggsipj forms then online counselling will happen for btech course then document verification and your admission is final.
