MG
8.3 /10

Remarks :

Awesome faculty, peers enriching the overall learning experience The admin imposes certain restrictions in terms of places that students can use for discussions and recreation which is a problem especially because of long study hours High academic rigor in the first year Admission through XAT which takes place in the first week of January Best institute for studying Human Resource Management. The faculty is extremely qualified and has years of teaching experience. The opportunity of learning from professors like Guru, Bagchi, and Sabyasachi makes it worth it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

A very structured approach to Human Resource management. The only institution in Asia which has offered it for 50+ years. 1 faculty member per 5 students Teachers are highly qualified with years of experience in teaching and research. They stay abreast of the trends through the regular research papers they have to write. The academic rigor is high Some of the best professors in the entire MBA circuit

Internships Opportunities :

Consult companies- BCG, Bain, McKinsey, Deloitte, EY, KPMG FMCGs- HUL, PnG, ITC, etc Pharma companies Auto companies Startups like Byjus, Phonepe, Paytm Brands like Vedanta, Reliance, Adani, ABG, JPMC

Placement Experience :

Companies come on campus during the 5th and 6th semesters. The people with workex get placed first and the freshers get placed later The companies for both the categories are different (based on their requirements) so no student is put at a disadvantage 100% placement

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees is high, and students generally take loans. Aditya Birla scholarship and JEMS scholarship are given out to the top students out of the top 20 and top 10 respectively. Consulting companies, FMCGs, and major brands come on campus

Campus Life :

Ensemble Valhalla is the annual Management, cultural and sports festival of XLRI held in the month of November every year. Huge event with over 10,000 people coming from various Bschools and undergrad colleges across the country. Library gives access to all major publications on campus as well as remotely. Newspapers, magazines, and management books are available in abundance More than 25 committees and interest groups for students to explore and develop themselves

Hostel Facilities :

Single occupancy rooms for everyone. Mess menu is handled by a committee run by students so the food quality is easily improved if students face an issue It is compulsory for everyone to stay on campus so everyone has to get accommodations in the hostels itself Due to lack of mobility, students face issues in conducting group meetings

Interview Experience :

GD topic- should abortion be legalized in India 5-6 people, 3 panelists Discussions were based on the economic, social, and legal impact of legalizing abortion. The students were asked to follow up questions during interviews Preparation was based on a lot of practice and reading

Remarks :

The course fee of my college is 6 lakhs in total which is quite affordable as compared to other MBA colleges. Further, 70% placement are done on campus with highest package of 20 LPA and rest all get placed through off campus drive. Further, the faculty members are too experience and holds P.hD or equivalent degree and are co-operative as well. Moreover, it is approved by PCI, AICTE and holds 33rd position by NIRF. And these are the reasons for taking admission to this college. Furthermore, to get into this college, I filled the application form in the month of April by paying 2500 in online mode. Then on the basis of my score in CAT exam, I was shortlisted for GD and PI rounds. Lastly, I got the admission offer letter post which I paid the course fee for first year and joined the college.

Placement Experience :

The placement drive takes place as a central activity for all of us from other BIT campuses. Our college has excellent placement record which is 90% and top associations like Airtel, Infosys, Sapiens, Tata steel, Tata motors, reliance, ICICI Bank, ICICI securities, HDFC mutual funds and other participates in the placement session. Further, the highest CTC proferred to the senior of our department i.e. MBA was 10 lakhs per annum and the average CTC of 7 lakhs was offered. Now, the placement record of my college is good along with the package offered. So after completing my post graduation, I have decided to work in a good organisation and gain experience for further usage.

Remarks :

I choose to study at Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, Ranchi as the institute was very popular across the state. Over the years, the institute has witnessed an amazing growth in terms of Placements records, academic excellence, Rankings, collaborations, etc. Moreover, I was highly impressed with the quality of the faculty's teaching methodology. Admission process at BIT Mesra for the MBA programme is done on the basis of the scores obtained in entrance exams such as CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT followed by a personal interview process or GD.

Placement Experience :

The placement committee of the institute works towards enabling the students to achieve lucrative offers during the campus placement drive. So the students are well trained and counseled before the commencement of the placement drive. The institute recorded its highest CTC at INR 49.76 lPA and a huge number of students were employed for various roles in the top companies.

Corrupted admin department is the first thing, they used to dig up all the amount which they get. Students who used to go in favour where given more priority whereas others used to get stupid treatments. Still in temporary campus is another defect that the student faces.
