It was quick. I applied for all the new IIMs but didn't attend an interview, because I already converted to NMIMS Mumbai. I also got converted to MDI PGPIM, but it was not the course I was interested in. Also between IIT KGP operations and NMIMS Operations, I chose NMIMS Operations.
The course curriculum is really nice, it is updated as per the industry standard. A lot of focus is given to Analytics. The faculty is nice and tries to make the class interactive. Many guest lectures are conducted.
Initially many top companies came, but for the last 200 students out of 600 were placed in startups. The average stipend seems to be around 45k per month. The roles and the project offered varied from company to company.
From the 2nd semester, we got eligible for the summer placement process and from the 5th semester, we will be eligible for Final placement. 25% of student get PPO, and the rest sit for final placement. My plans after my MBA is to do a job for few years.
Only the top 10 students get a scholarship. For the loan process, NMIMS is eligible for a scholarship loan with a very less interest rate. Also, there was no collateral and a 100% loan is given. The stipend in an internship is good.
In online mode, the fun part of an MBA is missing. But we got the opportunity to interact a lot in the classroom, committee, cells and clubs. There is core cell, functional cell related to specialization, interest-based cell and Clubs.
NMAT was conducted and a maximum of 3 attempts are allowed. The test is easy but speedy based and very competitive. GD topic was related to the expensive food stall. The interview included question-based on SOP, Resume, Current affair and intended specialization.
Your final recruitment will start from the start of your third semester. You are eligible to join the company after the sem 3 exams. During my batch approx 250 companies visited the campus for all 5 specializations. The highest package was 14.5L and the average was 6.5L-7L. 95% of placements were done in college. I had joined Amul as I wanted the FMCG industry.
there is a placement facility to help buy college. In the 2nd year of the 3rd Semester placement process start and the company coming from August mid. there is scop in all the sectors like banking-ICICI, IDFC, etc. For FMCG ITC, KHIMJI RAMDAS, REAL ESTATE LODHA BUILDERS. In short, every sector company is coming to the campus for placement. AVERAGE CTC is 6.5 lakh hight heard 50 lakh but the good package is given by many companies around 7 to 9 lakh also there. last year97 -98 % students paced. My plan is to also go for placement offered on campus.
Placement is the main reason everybody pursues MBA, same is the reason with me. Placements of our are very good. The average package of my seniors was 10.7 LPA. All the students get equal opportunity to get placed rest is up to the student to find a good job role and a good pkg from a company. Companies from all over India come to recruit students like Deloitte, EY, Hdfc bank, axis bank etc.
I qualified my CAT exam and cleared my exam through applying online and after gaining a proper merit I finally enrolled myself for the MBA programme. The admission to this college was indeed my dream as the college had a good reputation among various organisations and was good with the academics.
The placement and the internship policy were amazing and most of the time we were given permission to sit for the off campus placement although the on campus placement use to happen with full hype. Companies like HDFC, TATA consultancy services, Infosys and Airtel recruit us with good salary package.
I had passed CET to be eligible for admission to this course. Then I gave the GD PI round for securing admission.
Many small-time companies come for campus placements. You will most definitely manage to get a good job on your on too. In the past, some big brands have also come for recruitments. Best thing is to reach out to companies that are nearby in Hinjewadi. If selected, then you can easily go for the interview in their office.
The college accepts MAT, CAT and XAT scores. You have to apply on their website for admission. If you are selected, then you are invited for the admission counselling session which has the GD/PI round. I got selected through this procedure.
Since the college is in Hinjewadi, many colleges do come for placements. Many students do get placements but the placement record of the college is not very strong. Many candidates get jobs on their own.
I had passed CAT. College takes applications online for admission. I got selected through interview and group discussion round.
Placement cell is little bit active. Good companies do come for placements. Many of my friends got good jobs. I got a job on my own.
The college accepts MAT, XAT, CAT scores. I had given CAT. They have had GD PI like other colleages for selection process.
There were many campus placements. Companies like India Infoline, Cipla, AVIVA, ANI, Airtel and ITC do placements here. Other companies also come for placement.
The college is excellent given the amenities, fee structure and the placement history taken into consideration. The exam structure, distribution of marks and the faculty is also praise worthy. Internship oppurtunities was however limited and hence of the area the college needs to work on. Overall a quite satifying and memorable experience for the 2 years spent and making my money's worth.
