Maharashtra CET, Common entrance tests. Group discussions and personal interviews. Based on a total marks and merit ranking. The college was on my top 3 lists due to affordability and proximity from IT park which have a lots of insights and connects.
There course structure is online with the Pune university syllabus with extended library facility and professional faculty. International business management you can manage here but not specialised for international business. Good college for marketing and finance students with some best faculties. Human resource is also a good option.
No it doesn't or I am not aware of. I did my internship from an IT company for my project work. Mine was into international business management and hence had to do from an international business dealings company. That is also one reason i did not approach the college. I did my internship on an ITES progressive outsourcing contacts management and the produces and procedures involved in international contracts.
Annual days, Welcome party by the seniors to the juniors. Farewell pay by the juniors to the seniors. The party just required a reason. Other than that there are lit of cultural activities. FM radio companies and dot com companies also connect with the college for events and shows. It's a happening place overall.
The hostel facility is not that great. They have in the same building which is a bit of discomfort also not worth of facilities. If you want to chill and enjoy them it is not the place. But there are many options outside the college in nearby areas which will give you a good portion to choose from. You can find both economical and lavish starting options within the vicinity.
The alumni is good. They are cooperative and go beyond their limits at times when it comes to personally help and guide in difficult situations. Seniors and juniors gel up very well and get along. There is not any discrimination for services and juniors.
A proper balance of internal exams and project works. Well actually as per the mandate of Pune University, so pretty much in line with the curriculum and guidance provided by the Pune university. The project after the internship is a bit difficult and also they have a stringent methods to validate the viable outcomes.
Once you clear the Maharashtra CET, you have to Undergo a group discussion and a personal interview and based on your merits you get college among your set of preferred choices. The college was among the top 3 of my choice and I was very glad as I got through. Also there are 3 rounds for you being selected and getting a seat. Then there is management quota but it is a bigger bet and not quite affordable.
Wide range of courses till choose from. I wanted to do international business management and i got till do it even while we were not many of that electives. Larger groups being marketing, finance and human resources. Still we got all the attention we required.
Big opportunity to get easily placement. A lot of companies came every 6 months. There is a special class for students on how to crack interviews during placement time which very helpful for students. The faculty will provide every possible help to get selected for the interview.
From semester 1 itself, students are eligible for summer internships with companies like DE Shaw, Acresium, JP Morgan and Chase, Marsh coming in with various profiles. The highest stipend offered is 1.45 lacks an average being about 25 thousand. From trimester 4 onwards you become eligible for Final placements. About 160-170 companies come in total for the placement process and the highest package is about 28 lakhs and average about 10 lakhs is offered. Almost 90-95 percent of the students are placed.
Quite a good experience as of now as there is a beautiful balance between academics and extra curricular activities. There are different cells and clubs in ISBM where you learn real life management skills, put whatever you have learnt in your studies. Being a member of lifestyle development cell, I exactly know how important these cells are and may impact on your life.
Firstly I gave CAT and then applied for ISBM, a few days later, got a email that I got selected for the interview process but at the D-Day had to give aptitude exam, wrote an essay , group discussion and then gave interview taken by the President of ISBM.
Only placement is concern.otherwise college is good
Admissions are granted on the basis of any of the top management level entrance exams like CAT, etc. Otherwise, the applicant has to appear for an entrance test organized by the university. After the exam, the college conducts a GD and interview round, on the basis of which students are offered admission.
Placements are pretty good at our college. Our college has close relations with some of the top brands in the industry, such as Loreal, CCD, Kotak Mahindra, Swiggy, HDFC, etc. The highest salary package secured by a student was around 13 LPA, the average package offered was around 4.5 LPA and the least salary package offered during my batch was around 3 LPA. They also provide training sessions for preparing students for the mock rounds.
There is nothing bad about our college because it is one of the best colleges in Pune.
I applied for the MBA program are granted on the basis of a management level entrance exam like CAT/XAT/MAT. Students have to apply with their entrance scores and academic details like graduation marks etc. The college will invite the shortlisted students for a GDPI round. A merit list is prepared on the basis of all these factors and that's how the entire admission process looks like in our college.
Placements are pretty decent in our college. We got an immense amount of assistance from the placement cell. They have tie-ups with some of the leading businesses of their niche domain. Some of the companies which visited our campus during my batch include brands like TCS, Karvy, Oakland Capital, HDFC, CBRE, etc. The average packages offered were also pretty decent at around 7 LPA.
I absolutely love studying at Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. I get the best faculty possible to teach me the material. Fees is affordable too. If you are thinking of taking admission here, you should.
College is very good. Faculty is world class . Management too is good . But i would warn you that all depends on you . Dont think they will feed you too the mouth. I would rather say the foor is ossom but you will have to use your hands to eat it.
They have their own exam but CAT is acceptable well, I think that attracted me to this college was the placement assistance, which gave a positive vibe, though I did not opt for placement through them, as I was already well placed in my field of work.
I did not attend the internship as I was already working at the time when i joined the MBA course here but there is 100% jobs assistance for the people who are not working.
