BEST YEARS OF MY LIFE
Everything was good. Really enjoyed the time there and spent the best 2 years of my life.
CAT, 99. 27 percentile. Best infra and education. Also got IIM K but did not opt for it. IIM B is way superior than IIMK in terms of faculty, curriculum, placements, etc.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
It is feasible at around 14. 6 lacs during our time. All banks are amenable to giving loans to students who qualify for IIM B. To some it might look at expensive but where in the world is an MBA programme not expensive
All were placed. around 200 companies came to campus. They all offered upwards of 11 lacs with median of about 15 lacs. Companies: BCG, Mckinsey, HUL, P&G, flipkart, diageo, cadbury, etc.
Hostel rooms were individual. Everybody is provided with a hostel room so no worries on that. The new hostels are particularly good as they face the grounds and are modern and have a contemporary look to them.
All alumni and seniors are good. Some seniors who are placed in better colleges have an attitude problem and want to help only the cool kids or the ones with the best chances. Alumni network need to improve as definitely lagging behind IIM A and IIMC.
Campus is life is very enjoyable. The best time I ever had. Extracurricular events are everything in an MBA college as one competes in them to get resume points. Gender ratio is around 25:75 and in India cannot expect any better. The
Exams are very frequent. It was hectic for people who were interested in studying and it was chilled out for people who wanted to party. That is the case in all colleges and IIMB was no different.
All kinds of companies came to campus. Ecommerce, traditional FMCGs, finance, consulting. General stipend offered was around 40-50K. My internship was in a company called CHEP
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
Some select scholarships awarded to only select 10-15 students which is very difficult to get. The rest is on you or if you are lucky to get financial aid which only people who show fake income certificates get.
