    COLLEGE EVENTS

Erudition- HR/IB the theme of every year is different, this year was “Ignite – The vision forward”. This student-run initiative is organized every year to get an insight into the thought processes of the corporate and policymakers at large Guest Lectures To foster continuous learning of industry practices, regular guest lectures are conducted for the students throughout the semester. The aim of these lectures is to provide exposure to the students regarding the application of the theory they study as well as help keep them abreast about upcoming practices in the industry. Live Projects The basic premise of learning management principles is to be able to apply them in real-life situations. A live project provides our students with a platform where they can apply the principles learned in the classrooms and provides an opportunity for on-the-job training. These projects help to understand the finer nuances of the business and help the students locate their fields of interest. The live projects happen in tandem with the classes, so the students get a first-hand experience of the rigorous work culture in the corporate world and thus get molded to do multi-tasking. Some of the companies for which the students have undertaken live projects are: CSR: Corporate Social Responsibility HR Symposia IB Symposia

  • LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS

Not required since fees were very less. The reservation class also got some relaxation in academics and course fees. Other computer labs very provided by the colleges and hostel as well. Facilities were provided by the guidelines of UGC and University. Other facilities were available for sports and foreign students. That may be checked from DU websites.

They would invite companies like Citi Bank, Seimens, Accenture, etc for the campus placement drive.

My MBA Journey

Placement -

Placements were just okayish in our college, and still had a lot of room for improvement. Though, the assistance we received from the staff was impeccable. College mostly invites companies from the hospitality sector. Currently, I am working as a consultant in an MNC and pretty satisfied with my ex-college. American Express, Axis Bank, Bank of America, Darashaw, DE Shaw were among the top recruiters.

Remarks -

We cannot really differentiate between DFS and other private institution management the office bearers, faculties are really helpful the only shortcoming of DFS is that infrastructures sometimes we need to share the seminar room with other departments. The classrooms are Non A.C.But quality of education, guidance we get after bearing only twelve thousand per annum is really unmatched. There are people who leave IIMs and join DFS only to get value education. The writer here has left 6 IIMs (obviously not the older ones) to join DFS.

Entrance Preview -

DFS takes CAT score only for its prestigious MBA-FM (formerly MFC) course average score of the batch varies from 92 to 95 percentile every year admission process includes shortlisting based on CAT score and profile,GD followed by PI.
